Re: Izzy Scane vs. Charlotte North debate

Of those I’ve seen, I would say Treanor. She is more creative, more powerful (yes, more powerful), and has a better stick than Scane or North. Cuse fan aside, I would agree with this. See World Games 2022. Incredible exhibition. 100% this. Treanor was and still is the the most talented lacrosse pla...

Re: Miscellaneous Topics 2023

There are no big names in NW's 2023 class. On paper, their 24 commits are a much stronger class. Remember though, KAH prefers athletes over tested lax players so often players will take a year or two to mature. That said, NW has some outstanding players on their bench who didn't play much this year...

Re: Izzy Scane vs. Charlotte North debate

They are very different types of players. To use another sport analogy, think Kobe vs. Jordan. In addition to scoring, North was outstanding on the draw (the most important part of the game) resulting in alot of extra possessions for her team. On the flipside, Scane is much superior on the ride, cre...

Re: Miscellaneous Topics 2023

Is she out of eligibility? I think some d3 years got 2 years of extra eligibility Hm it looks like you're right. DIII athletes who competed in 2020-21 and 2019-20 spring sports get two extra years. Well with that, NU literally loses nobody big next year aside from Rhatigan. They'll lose Berkery and...

Re: Miscellaneous Topics 2023

Random, but does anyone know what Laliberty is up to next year? Some of the comments from Northwestern players underneath her Instagram post seem to indicate that she's staying with the team next year, but she's also out of eligibility. Grad assistant maybe? The BTN announcers did say that she woul...

Re: Final Four - Cary,NC

Sad. Seems like a no-brainer to hold all three in the location, the same weekend. Not sure how the NCAA gets away with separate but clearly not equal treatment in 2023. What other sport has all three tourneys in same location? With hotels, practice fields, etc, it would likely be a logistics night....

Just knowing how OSU thinks I will be shocked if they hire a coaching without proven head coaching experience. For 500k/year, they won't have a shortage of candidates.

Re: Transfer portal

2. This one doesn’t smell right to me. Scholarships are 4 year agreements with each year drawn out. All Power 5’s agreed in 2015 that you can’t reduce or cut scholarship for athletic reasons. Only can be voided/reduced for off field issues. This is at least what was told to us in club. Quick google...

Re: Transfer portal

I have a question. How do kids go so quickly from entering the portal to going to a new team so quickly - how do they actually transfer academically? How are they getting admissions to accept these kids so quickly? When you enter the portal, you have to submit your transcript. Some schools will req...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023

I appreciate all the outside the box thinking here. But are we really suggesting The Ohio State University AD hire a 30 something man with no head coaching experience, who is currently coaching at the high school level, to be the next head coach of his Big Ten women’s lacrosse program? What kind of...

Not even close. Would be surprised if more than 4000. Upper deck and one of the end zone completely empty. other end zone about 1/3 full.

If you were there live and saw some of the jawing and cheap shots from the BC defense, that last goal was personal and Rhattigan is a stone cold killer.

NTDP tryouts

Question for the group since I know there are several other lax parents on this forum. My 2 daughters (a 24 commit and a 26) will be trying out for the NTDP (youth national team) next week. Wanted to see if anyone could share any details on the tryouts. Is it similar to All American / American Selec...

Unsurprisingly, OSU are making a change! https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/ohio-state-announces-change-in-womens-lacrosse-leadership/ Should be able to get a decent hire considering the OSU brand and what the school has invested in their lacrosse programs. Re: 2023 NCAA Tournament

Is it really such a good thing that Maryland's offense will be back next year? Did they even get much better over the course of this season? I mean they shot it better today than against JMU than earlier this year, but I'm not sure either. They never had a true alpha that defense feared, just a lot...

I'll go a step further. Don't see how CW is even on the list. She has had an ok career thus far. Not even top 5 player in the ACC and Medjid and Humphries had better years last year. Tewey Top 5: All attackers Scane Medgid Tyrell Cokendall (sp) Peterson Spending significant time playing defense is ...
