Re: Best Team of All Time

https://x.com/NDlacrosse/status/1795865539752939944 Will leave this here.. “Notre Dame is the only team since the beginning of the NCAA's record keeping (1996 season) to finish the season ranked first in both scoring defense and offense.” Pretty cool. ....but you're still left with one.....one....p...

Re: Best Team of All Time

Moving the discussion out of the Tewaaraton thread. To those who inevitably feel slighted that I ignored earlier championships, I'm sorry . I can't personally attest to anything that happened 46 years ago. Undefeated teams , deservedly at the top: 2006 UVA 2022 MD 2005 Hopkins I think it's a toss u...

Re: Transfer Portal 2025

Called someone a lil more in the know. Sounds like cuse is just a rumor. He’s trying to go Ivy - hearing UPenn. A ‘new Ivy’ is just down the street from Duke, Carolina. 👀 Bizarre falloff in one year. His freshman season he was impactful. I bet some team will be really happy they land him. Btw his l...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

ND was only one of two programs in the history of college lacrosse to win a natty with 1 or fewer losses. The "natty" has been won 27 times by teams "with 1 or fewer losses." And 13 of those teams were undefeated. Plus: Cornell won back to back in 76-77 with 0 losses on the way ...

Re: Maryland 2025

Not trying to stir the pot, but it could be time for the Terps to move on from McNaney. That last game was off the charts ooooof. Psychologically damaging. Do you really think he’ll play another year?! Rueppel is a solid replacement. It would be interesting to hear Tillmans thoughts on this. Again, ...

This a top 5 team of all time. PK or LE Dang. Cornell is then in the top 10 all time? Lost by one and should’ve won. Congrats Cornell: you’re now top 10 of all time. (The recency bias here is off the charts) Shoulda coulda woulda. If rankings were purely transitive, maybe they would've been i...

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM

You can’t simply out coach a far more talented team. Maryland had an unbelievable playoff run which is apparently making people forget that their offensive personnel were incredibly average all year. Put up 5 against Hopkins, looked like a JV team vs PSU. They simply did not have the horses to comp...

Rewatched. Trying hard not to blame any one player, but man alive, NOT EVEN ONE SAVE IN THE FIRST HALF?!! Just being picked apart high right hand; ND saw film which shows McNaney prefers bouncers. Team deflated after they saw their goalie wasn’t seeing much. That Taylor goal on the crease to tie it...

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM

Did I hear right that ND has 20 seniors and grad students contributing to the team? Oh, sure, this abundance is a consequence of Covid, which is no one's fault or plan, but until this Covid year-or-two eligibility jiggering winds off of the rosters I'm putting an asterisk next to these super-teams....

Re: Way too early 2025 top 5

Hop and Cuse should be somewhere in convo. If not in top five at start then just outside Cuse has a few areas to address via the portal (if possible) but I think they will be ranked in the top 5 to start. Probably behind Cornell and some combo of Maryland or ND. Offense should be excellent with eve...

Re: Way too early 2025 top 5

After leaning some things on who people are losing (UMD) and others, I am going 1. Princeton 2. Cornell 3. ND 4. UMD 5. UVA For any Maryland fans here, I just want to know for sure: does Ruppel start in goal next year, or is there someone else? I assume Keethler is the fogo? And is that a concern? ...
