DIII RIT : Mike Grace (D) -> Syracuse Heard Trucksess from Dickinson to Hopkins Interesting, will serve for good FO depth. Hopkins needs elite FO play however. Good size at 6ft, 1in. FO 55%. Solid get at a position of need. Hope the report is accurate. DocBarrister Wasn't Dickinson's starter. I am ...

Re: Transfer Portal 2025
NIL is what it is. Same for the transfer portal. More choices and options for student athletes are a good thing. The “market” will sort things out with respect to NIL. There definitely needs to be more regulation of NIL, but I don’t begrudge the student athletes who can command high NIL payouts. Bei...

Re: NCAA Playoff/ Championship Attendance
This weekend will feature four games with some of the most storied programs in the sport. Both venues are squarely located in longstanding "hotbed" locations. Both the Hofstra stadium in Hempstead and the Towson stadium hold approximately 11,000 people. I wonder if they might be sold out,...

DIII RIT : Mike Grace (D) -> Syracuse Heard Trucksess from Dickinson to Hopkins Interesting, will serve for good FO depth. Hopkins needs elite FO play however. Trucksess went to Haverford. Was 56-100 with 35 GBs in 2023. 52-95 with 29 GBs this season. Junior. Dunn has been 53-124 with 35 GBs so far...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
Bit of a deeper dive on the faceoffs issue. When the teams played during the regular season, JHU had a 20-14 advantage against a Virginia team missing its top 2024 FOGO, Anthony Ghobriel. Last year, when Ghobriel was playing for Navy, he did well but didn't dominate against Hop FOGOs Callahan and D...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
I would look at this simplistically: you have more possessions than UVA, you beat UVA. Only in one loss this year did UVA have more possessions: in the Duke game and UVA cannot beat Duke. Win the FO’s, GB’s and TO’s, the rest takes care of itself. Yep. Possessions come through FOs, gbs, opponent TO...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
uva was back at their best saturday with some real aggression on their middie dodges, really the key to the whole matchup. even quint kessenich has noted that when you can aggressively dodge, it draws the eyes and slides of the defense, allowing others to be open. if the hoos can continue with the ...

Re: Teams you won’t recognize in 2025
Notre Dame loses a bunch: Pat Kavanaugh, Eric Dobson, Liam Entemann, Reilly Gray, Chris Conlin, Devon McLane, Marco Napolitano, Carter Parlette, Ross Burgmaster. Still think they will be pretty good next year, but that's a lot. Taylor having seemingly endless eligibility helps but ya ND loses a ton...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024
"Virginia limps into the tourney struggling on defense, in the cage and lacking firepower and depth at the midfield. Pummeled by defeats against Notre Dame (twice), at Syracuse and at Duke, you have to wonder whether the Hoos can re-kindle their previous form. This will be a confidence game fo...

This game is like the USSR playing the People’s Republic of China.
You can’t root for either one.
You want both to lose.
And they are both inherently evil to an extent.
What to do?

First goal- 2-man game with Angelus, who does the definition of a dummy dodge (no intention of going to goal) and Collison slips into space. Second goal- EMO. Good ball movement. No dodge. Third goal- defender falls down as Collison dodges from GLE. Was this a "hard dodge"? We'll never kn...

The USILA traces its roots back to 1882. When it comes to college lacrosse, it’s just about the oldest institution around. Can’t buy that kind of prestige.
