Ivy League 2019
Last year, the site of the 2018 ILT was announced in mid May; here we are four months deeper into this year and still nothing. Columbia U / Manhattan was not a resounding success... so when will we know about the 2019 ILT? I am partial toward Yale, but still thought the "way ahead" polls m...

Re: ODAC
It seems to me that the only D3 conference that's pretty strong top-to-bottom is the NESCAC. The Centennial has teams with a lot of history that have fallen onto hard times recently. The NCAC is still dominated by two teams. The SUNYAC has 1 or 2 nationally competitive teams; the CAC 3 or 4. So I'd ...

Re: ODAC
Lots of new blood in the ODAC and it's the same teams at the top year after year. How many teams in the ODAC now? Still it's just a shuffling of the top four card in the deck. When does someone other than W&L, Noke, Lynchburg or H-SC make a run? Well, Thatsmell, I think we could say that Noke a...

Re: Yale 2019
Ierlan and Neuman, both Yale newcomers, could indeed make a terrific FO duo... if Shay uses them that way. Last year it was Conor Mackie pretty much all the way, or until the 4th quarter when the opposing team was hopelessly behind. I love the idea of a true duo. The rest of the FO unit will also ha...

Re: Princeton 2019
The headline OOC game might be Denver, but consecutive games against UVa, Hop, Navy and Rutgers should have Princeton well prepared for the Ivy. Great schedule.Typical Lax Dad wrote:Princeton announces 2019 Schedule

Re: Yale 2019
Last year's home fall-ball scrimmage with Providence and Colgate included 8 quarters of lacrosse for each team. Part of the purpose of fall ball is to allow the coach to see everyone play; so if Notre Dame is coming for a two-way scrimmage, I'd expect them to play more than 4 quarters (as Yale and M...

The wave of two-sport athletes grows: Robert Mooney (LSM, face-off wing and possible D) is playing soccer now for Yale: https://yaledailynews.com/blog/2018/08/ ... ccer-team/

Re: Yale 2019
...Thank you Matnum for making the effort. On a side note I expect another stellar season for the Bulldogs. Yes, thank you Matnum! I expect the Ivy League to be tougher this year, with recent bottom-dweller Dartmouth improving (and I think getting at least one conference win in 2019), Princeton str...

Looks like LaxPower is really expiring. Yale Lacrosse twitter has some pictures of the new turf at Reese Stadium: looks great.

Re: Who does 60' clock benefit, who does it "harm"?
Will this bring back the 2 way middie ? My guess would be "yes," with middies taking longer shifts, longer breaks between shifts. Yale has some middies who would work well in that type of role; for example, 2019 captain Danigellis, who was largely a SSDM his sophomore year, mainly on offe...

Re: Who wins it all in 2019?
I like Loyola on that side too. Dwan usually has their defense pretty tight. I think they lose their top guy Huggins, but have Stover to build around. IMO, he was the most underrated goalie in D1 last year. Well said. I'm a Yale fan, but cast my vote for Loyola. Yale will be very good, but lose too...

Re: Help Us Build FanLax
Yes, I'd love a D3 board, please. Have posted on both D1 and D3 LP boards. Which, I guess, means FanLax should probably have a D2 board and perhaps others. Many thanks!

Re: Post Policy
Yes, I had an issue with one of the LP moderators, one who moderated only D3 and had a marked preference for one particular conference. He trolled me on another conference's board, probably because I was discussing an upcoming OOC game with a team in his preferred conference. I thought my reply was ...
