Re: Mustang Classic 24
What a fantastic Mustang Classic. RIT looked amazing and this Salisbury fan loves watching them play. They seemed completely unfazed by the frenetic pace Tufts threw at them and seemed to be one step ahead such that their passing offset anything Tufts tried to accomplish. Curious if we will see a re...

Re: York 2024
I initially pegged them at 3-4 with the third win being Dickinson. That said, tell me if I’m overthinking but one thing that concerns me isn’t “close” losses but moreso consistently playing from behind, or, playing while not holding a lead. It’s tough to get into a rhythm when consistently pressed a...

Re: York 2024
Congrats to Matt and the York program. Have watched York play for years and enjoy their defensive style. While big for Matt, also big for York as it shows you can go there and "move up" so while there may be big shoes to fill, there is ample evidence that Child's coaching tree is ever grow...

Re: Transfer Portal
Tim McGinnis was a 3 year all American GK at Gettysburg from 2001-2003, transferred to Maryland for the 2004 season and I believe was an all American. Salisbury had Eric Law for a year (2010) bit he was injured most of the year. Was from Colorado and he ultimately transferred to Denver and played 3 ...

Re: Most Painful Loss You Have Witnessed Involving Your Favorite Program?
Far and away 2006 Salisbury's loss to Cortland. But this may have fueled the 2007-2008 undefeated teams. On the flip side, some moments going the other way that brought happiness to me and no doubt crushed others. 2016 and 2017 Salisbury wins over Denison. Nosey Ned was spot on in his assessment, th...

Re: York 2024
Salisbury counts rings, York counts fanlax pages. KIDDING, KIDDING, KIDDING, KIDDING, KIDDING. It made me laugh so I thought I'd share silly humor, as it is the offseason after all and might break some of the tension regarding the transfer discussion. I understand the urge for a player to consider D...

Re: ~Salisbury 2023~
Laxattack, are you thinking Berkman plans to retire within the next 2 years? Or just surmising that he is going all in on the 5th/6th years and maybe leaving the tank empty once COVID eligibility is behind us? Berkman like many others will utilize whatever is available and there appears to be a ton ...

Re: Who will win the National Championship?
Congrats to the Gulls! 13!!!!!!! I really thought this would be a steep uphill battle with less than favorable odds for them to win...but the game plan was perfect and executed to perfection. Started having some heart palpitations at 11 9 but really just felt the Gulls would pull it out as they just...

Re: York 2023
Regulator, well said on the talent. It's a sign of a great program when "next man up" means little drop off. You've proven that the past decade(ish) in terms of having guys ready when given the opportunity. I don't doubt the trend will continue and wish you guys all the best in the off-sea...

Re: York 2023
I don't traditionally comment, more of a reader, but there is definitely a buzz about the York program. Best coach, best culture, as many academic all americans as Cornell, we almost beat this team, we were so close, out bracket seeding was unfair, etc. (Potentially all valid points about your progr...

Re: CNU 2023
Actually, Salisbury did have some starters playing in the 2nd half against Illinois Wesleyan but either way, we all agree the game was over 5 minutes into the game. CNU may have been gassed but they also play In the Mustang Classic, so they did have a feeling for what back to back games may look/fee...

Re: Who will win the National Championship?
Tufts leads series 3-2. 4 title tilts split evenly + Tufts 17 10 victory last year. I love the Gulls but they better play a near perfect game or else the Jumbos could roll. Their style gives fits to the Gulls, as it does everyone else but if the Gulls have a good day in the cage and at the faceoff d...
Re: SCOTUS
All great points, thanks for sharing MD and TLD.
Re: SCOTUS
All good points. I believe the founders wanted a more perfect union and were willing to die for it, sought/achieved progress in many areas, and built applicable steps into the system to enable future change/progress where/when needed. But at the same time, the sheer enormity of the Federal Governmen...
Re: SCOTUS
It poses an interesting question of whether, sitting here today, the Framers would have proposed adhering a a "system" of originalism. I think the answer is probably not. If the Framers were sitting here today , I think there's a good chance they check to see if its too late to go back to...

MD, Dis, Seacoaster, thanks for the great replies. As I said earlier, I don't post often but I read this site several times per week and really enjoy the differing points of views. I can see the difference between the ruling from 60 years ago and today's but I also surmise that we live in a post-14...

Re: SCOTUS
I don't post often but read the forum several times a week as I appreciate the discussions. Thank you all for that. Seacoaster, could one argue that the prayer decision made 60 years ago was really a changing map of the world? For the longest time it wasn't an issue, then all of a sudden, 60 years a...
