Re: Transfer Portal 2025
Revenues there probably far exceed the rest of the ACC and probably most or all big ten schools for the sport is hypothesize without the info at hand. It’s Syracuse your alternatives are destiny mall or Oxy. Wait until the bond holders get wiped out on destiny mall and suddenly home & CRE value...

Re: Best Team of All Time
Maryland 2022. Not even sure it's a discussion. The grad transfers/fifth years make them different than any of the other great teams. They also had the clear best player in Wisnauskas, were deep at every spot, and could play any tempo desired. Fast, methodical, it didn't matter. We've never seen the...

Re: Transfer Portal 2025
Surprised to see Balsamo in the portal. He hit the sophomore slump, but I thought he was primed for a lot more meaningful minutes next year. A program will be lucky to grab him, he's a competitor. Yes, very interesting and surprising. Wonder what the story is? I texted a buddy and he said "rum...

Re: Collegiate Lacrosse Coverage is Lacking
. Forget the Memorial Day weekend format, go into June as needed. That is never going to happen as long as the games are being shown on ESPN. If you will look at ESPN right now, it is all college baseball and softball. Why, because it gets better numbers than lacrosse. Move the FF into June and you...

Re: Collegiate Lacrosse Coverage is Lacking
Attendance at games is around 3k for most venues? Not enough revenue in the sport. When commentators continuously explain the rules (it's not where the ball goes out of bounds etc, etc), It will remain niche for a while. There needs to be a whole sale change in the people commenting particularly at...

Re: Extra COVID year is over
The multiple impacts of COVID should be considered when agitating for a coaching change, ...especially at Navy. The academies have challenges that no other civilian programs have and not being able to take transfers is one of them. They also have a pretty big advantage- almost guaranteed red shirt ...

Re: 2024 USILA All-Americans
Millon will be a great player and has much more upside than Spallina, but he was taught some lessons against Maryland. He looked like a first year in that game. It was a level he wasn't ready for. If he is in that position again, I'm sure he will be more ready.

Congrats to ND. It's not their job to keep games close, or Maryland's for that matter, but this was the least exciting FF I can remember. It would have been nice to see more competitive games.

Re: The Best Goalie of all time D1
Hate to say a Hopkins guy but Larry Quinn is still the best goalie to ever play that anyone alive today may have seen. The ND goalie is good, great even, but there are others ahead of him. Especially if we are just talking college lacrosse.

Re: SF #6 Virginia vs #7 Maryland Saturday @2:30
Brutal loss for Virginia. They were out coached, out hustled, and out played on both ends of the field, at the faceoff x and in the cage. If you are a fan of that program, you can't be too jazzed about what the staff got out of that team. Too much talent to get boat raced like that.

Re: House v NCAA
Boosters at some schools are unlikely to bow out. It's a difference maker for luring athletes.
It will be interesting to see how schools divvy out the money in relation to revenue sports and in consideration of Title 9 requirements.

Re: 2024 USILA All-Americans
Agreed. Middie of the year last year did not get that long pole though. Schutz did. I dont remember who got it last year, but this year Knoblach certainly did. Where a team choses to put a long pole is the truest form of respect or disrespect an opposing coach can show. Teams often poled Knobloch a...

Syracuse's SSDM's looked tiny. You'd have to think that's an area they'd want to upgrade.

Congratulations to Shane Knobloch for winning the Maclaughlin Award as the nations top midfielder. He's going to be fun to watch in the professional ranks.
