Chris Cooper at Caz, good hire and finally a FT position at the school.
Curious to see how this plays out at the D3 level, his last D3 job at JCU was an adventure

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel

Yesterday was the largest halftime margin of Salisbury's entire season. More than Susquehanna, more than SUNY Poly, more than everyone. The least competitive team the Gulls faced all year. Laughable that IL thought it was worth writing an "Is Their Time Now?" article about them. IWU has a...

Re: FanLax Forum Poll

Illinois Wesleyan being talked about as a potential Final 4 team is crazy talk. I can appreciate the style of play that they promote as a program and the enjoyment you can get watching their games. However, some of the national media love for them is a bit odd IMO. Last 3 years, they've taken one b...

Re: 2021 Tournament

Don't talk to me about costs and travel. Tufts is traveling 6.5 hours to play Babson that, according to Google Maps, is 27 minutes away. I guess I missed the memo, but when did we stop having first round games at the higher seed? This is where the NCAA screwed the pooch. They disnt even follow thei...

Re: NCAC 2021

Great side note to Denison’s first round matchup with Centre - Centre head coach Grant Zimmerman was on Coach Caravana’s staff before taking the Centre job. He’s a great young coach and has done a fabulous job with the Colonels. Coach Z was a big part of the Denison’s success in 2016-18. The Big Re...

Re: 2021 Tournament

Selection committee is utter garbage. Unbalanced pods that make no sense. Do they actually watch any of these games? Comes down to $$$, travel/flights and region, etc. Been like this for years and pretty standard, even with Covid this year. The fact that Salisbury/Lynchburg and RIT/Tufts are on opp...

Re: FanLax Forum Poll

I have mixed feelings about the Jumbos. They’ve played five games. Their toughest opponent was the Dartmouth freshmen who were playing their first (??) collegiate game. That said I think they play on May 30. FWIW, Dartmouth turned around and beat St. Anselm (10-0, ranked #9 in Division II) by fourt...

Re: FanLax Forum Poll

Things are starting to shake out in the conferences. Some exciting games; Union took RIT well into the 4th. Watching the teams play I had the feeling RIT would not be representing the North on Memorial Day. I have mixed feelings about the Jumbos. They’ve played five games. Their toughest opponent w...

Re: 2021 Tournament

We are 10 days past the ncaa’s scheduled announcement date for prelim round host sites. Anyone have rumors or actual info? My guess is that they got very few bids and have reconsidered. Perhaps they are considering 4 or even 2 sites instead of the 8 that they planned. This approach increases travel...

Re: 2021 Tournament

I would think it will be 31 selected with 30 /31 doing a play in. Then start full round with 30 teams. “ The NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship provides for a 31-team single-elimination tournament. ” No idea on the break down regionally. Perhaps someone with better knowledge on the numbe...

Any idea how the brackets will work with 5 regions in a 32 team bracket, assuming 1 bye for 31 teams selected?

Re: 2021 Tournament

https://www.ncaa.com/championships/lacrosse-men/d1/road-to-the-championships This appears to be up to date. 31 teams (down from 36). I would imagine all 27 AQs will be on the table, leaving 4 for “at large” bids. Could be some new names in the mix, as some traditionally strong “at large” contenders...

Re: NCAC 2021

Denison dis nothing wrong here....welcome to the shot clock era. Denison played everyone, didn’t score in the 4q, I will bet there was some sort of running clock...they put up 24 in the first half, which is basically scoring at will. Very similar to what JCU did in their game yesterday...Tough situa...

Re: COVID-19 (coronavirus) impact on Women's Lacrosse

This is the reality of the situation. If the entire year is wiped out, college sports as we currently know it will be fundamentally changed and many sports wiped out
