Caitlyn Wurzburger’s storied high school career and headline-making recruiting process has made her one of the most well-known incoming freshmen ever. COVID-permitting, she’ll begin her quest for a national championship at North Carolina this spring. 

North Carolina coach Jenny Levy remembers hearing the crazy news: An eight-grader committed to Syracuse women’s lacrosse.

“We were in the office, and someone came in and said, ‘An eighth-grader committed to Syracuse,’” says Levy. “We were like, ‘What? That’s crazy.’ Now, knowing Caitlyn, it doesn’t surprise me just because of how focused and driven she is.”
