These are the other FanLax Quarter-Final Games.
Stegmakk will need a perfect storm to beat FCA. And these perfect storms usually start and end with the D. Stegg’s OSU D is playing UMD while FCA’s Hofstra D is playing Drexel. In other words, this perfect is not going to happen. FCA will win easily… NOPE. Stegs won.
While obviously the underdog in this game, Matnum actually has a legitimate shot of beating OCanada. Matnum’s UMBC D plays Hartford while Canada’s Yale D plays Albany. If Albany is healthy, Yale could take on a lot of water. Canada leans a lot on Morrill and Spencer and, as already stated, Yale plays Albany who, except against UMBC (and Canisius), does not give up a lot of goals and Loyola plays Army who also has a relatively stingy D. Matnum’s Guterding plays Marquette and Nolan plays Hartford. Matnum with an upset… YUP.
PA Talk‘s Navy D plays Syracuse while NC Lax‘s Hopkin’s D plays Michigan. NC’s Sowers plays Harvard and, otherwise, each team has a a bunch of consistent players who put up consistent points. With this said, PA’s players consistently put up more points than NC LAX. PA beats NC… Nope.
By the numbers, #4 Ohmilax vs. #5 GCCLax should be the best game of the Quarters. But, like the PA-NC game, Ohmi simply puts up better numbers. Ohmi should win. But… While Ohmi’s towson D plays a less than stellar Delaware offense, GCC’s Georgetown D plays NJIT. NJIT is awful. GCC could easily get 8 points from his D. Will this be enough to hold off Ohmi’s O’Keefe, Heninburg, and Cloutier? I doubt it. GCC’s G’town D (if he subs them in for Duke) will get between 2-4 points and this won’t be enough. Ohmi will move onto the Semis… NOPE.
