Any chance someone like Lehman backs off his commitment? Even with Penn State roots, this isn't looking like a one or two year rebuild. There's not a player on PSU that could start for Maryland.
Penn State
Re: Penn State
I don’t think so.
He’s made it clear he’s committed and also, you’ve
already got a template where Ament came in to a
not so great situation, and eventually got that team
to a Final Four.
Besides,
the Terps are already completely stacked.
Lehman won’t be sitting at Penn State.

Re: Penn State
He won't be sitting for sure...but he also might not play too many games in May.10stone5 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 11:10 pm I don’t think so.

If they don't recruit another Sabia at close and another Arceri at the FOGO, he's not going to see the ball much anyway. PSU hasn't been the same since losing both Ament and Sabia.
Re: Penn State
Kyle Lehman, finally with a big game, this past week,

CB WEST 3-1-0-1=5
WISS 4-2-3-3=12

Mike Murphy will not return as a member of @PennStateMLAX staff next season, multiple sources tell @Inside_Lacrosse.
Murphy replaced Peter Toner last summer after Toner was named @gburgbullets head coach.

Re: Penn State
After a less-than-optimal 2022, looks like PSU is going to be rebooting the program. Maybe rebooting is a little strong but... Making some changes.

Re: Penn State
Don’t know if he resigned or was forced out, my guess is the later. Never a good look when Head Coaches blame assistants who have been in the trenches with them all year. Football coaches do it all the time, kinda of a desperate self preservation move.AreaLax wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 2:11 pm Per IL

Re: Penn State
Sometimes coaches don’t mesh well either. Better to move on from that because generally speaking people don’t change
Re: Penn State
I’m guessing Tambroni will be busier in the transfer portal this
summer.
They could use a short term boost until Tambroni can get the
talent in on the recruiting end that he is looking for.

Matt Mackrides is taking over as head coach at
Malvern Prep.
Hopefully, Tambroni takes this opportunity to ensure that
pipeline to Penn State continues,
I could never understand how they couldn’t get same going
with Haverford School — Grant Ament notwithstanding —
but, whatever.
Will Peden is Malvern Prep — and, Malvern Prep is the better fit for Penn State.
Peden was a Hopkins commit, until Petro left.

They’ve had great pipelines with both. Ament, Sabia, and Malone are all Haverford guys. They have the Costin brothers now.10stone5 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 6:40 am Matt Mackrides is taking over as head coach at

Malvern has been a huge pipeline for them recently. Traynor’s (x3), Buono, Peden, Donoghy, Glynn. Lots of Malvern guys.
I’d say they’ve historically done very well at both of those programs, if your expectation is that they should get every great Inter-ac player then I don’t think you have realistic expectations.

Fire Tambroni?
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: Penn State
Four Pennsylvania schools with a chance at a national title.
West Chester State - in the finals, but unfortunately lost the WD2 final
Mercyhurst in the MD2 finals
Gettysburg in the WD3 finals
And of course Penn State, looking to win the 1st MD1 NCAA title for a Pennsylvania school
