+1. Maryland had an excellent game.PulpExposure wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 9:55 pmAs was Zappitello. Best one on one defense I've seen in a long while. Even when Mackesey got a step on him, which was rare, he'd hit him with a sneaky ass lift check and dislodge the ball. Unbelievable to watch that performance.

Thought Princeton's inexperience showed at times; lot of missed passes and timing things just not down right. Felt like they pressed at times as well. Think that stretch in the 1Q where they had a lot of looks and MD turned it over 4 straight times after the Koras goal needed to result in at least a tie if not a lead. Maryland has played with very few leads all season; was huge for them to do it tonight and get Wierman rolling downhill. Gianforcaro just did not have it whatsoever in the 1H, while McNaney did, and the results showed it. Along with the FOs.
Princeton had a chance in the 3Q though; as I don't think Maryland won possession off a single FO in that quarter. Only winning the quarter 3-1 wasn't going to cut it.
Overall just a thoroughly dominant Maryland win. This wasn't like the first game where the possessions decided the game because Princeton's defense played great and kept it somewhat close. Terps offense was dominant as well and scoreline reflected it

Tough way to end their season, but their futures will be bright on wall street. I'm pumped for the UMD Duke matchupAreaLax wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 11:54 pm Princeton press conference

4 tournament games between Dino and Tills; and none of them have been particularly close. This'll be the first one before the Final Four as well. Terps dominated as underdogs in 2011/2012; Duke comfortably won in 2018; and then another dominant Terps win in 2021.
Curious to see if that holds form. Think the way Duke plays offense can lend itself to Maryland having a chance for success; though Terps shorties will need to be great. Naso against Wierman is probably a big factor; tough to see Maryland win any matchup rest of the way without a possession advantage. Jameison young goalie against Maryland feels like it tilts Terps. We'll see if Maryland can carry over some of this offense to next week. Duke probably a 2.5-3 goal fave but I could see an upset
