Officials looking into bizarre behavior by fish in the Florida Keys. Just the planet doing it's thing I guess...
Sad seeing the habitat and coral destruction too.

Barack.....yo the man
President Obama signed it into law on Tuesday. 2013
Opponents have termed the language in question the "Monsanto Protection Act," a nod to the major agricultural biotech corporation and other like firms geared at producing genetically modified organisms (GMO) and genetically engineered (GE) seeds and crops. The provision protects genetically modified seeds from litigation suits over health risks posed by the crops' consumption.
how IS Biden's drilling going ? ya know....for that nasty "fossil fuel "
stay relevent..........a 'civil war is brewing
where IS that TAATS thread.....

It first started when the lib tards came for our toilets. You remember those lib mandated beauties that took 5 flushes to send a turd on its journey. The problem with asbestos is for all its risks it is an effective heat shield. I don't know if a better product has been developed that is cost effective. I have been in countless basements of older buildings where those boiler pipes are all wrapped with those distinctive metal bands. As long as it is contained and not exposed or falling apart it is not a big issue. I've also seen many of these old pipes where the asbestos insulation is torn and hanging down completely exposed. I left several jobs when I saw those conditions and said I'm not going back down there until the problem has been remediated. I think there were several times where the building owners didn't even know what was lurking in their basement.
I use to be a people person until people ruined that for me.

Friable asbestos is the problem. It doesn’t “stay” anywhere…cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 6:04 amIt first started when the lib tards came for our toilets. Oh, and asbestos is still widely used.

I'm sure alot of it is still around. My basement was finished in the early 70s with those Armstrong vinyl tiles that are encapsulated with asbestos. The biggest problem with abating asbestos it is expensive beyond belief and can a long time to clean up.PizzaSnake wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 2:23 pmFriable asbestos is the problem. Ventilation, NiOsh respirator, atmosphere filtration, and keeping the material wet are the keys. So when the revenue from fuel taxes dries up you have to go to plan B. Who would have ever imagined a tax on EVs? Smart for Jersey to make their residents pony up 4 years worth of taxes in advance. This should be very helpful for those folks considering buying an EV in New Jersey. So how come nobody saw this one coming down the pike? FTR, most people that understand how government operates saw this coming years ago.

Heavier vehicles given manufacturers segment target. More mass, more road-surface wear.cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 8:17 am https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/ne ... d4d59&ei=4

However, I find the new found concern re infrastructure funding, and highway O&M in particular, a little curious.

Dude, I live in Upstate NY we are the poster children for deteriorating infrastructure. We are as I compose this entering pot hole season. These aren't your run of the mill pot holes. “Experts say the unusually early and active fire season was a symptom of El Niño, a climate pattern characterized by warmer surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean that was predicted to supercharge global heating and extreme weather. But the climate crisis turned up the dial, and helped create conditions in the midwest where winter temperature records were not only broken – they were smashed.”

Wow!! Pretty blatant. Not even trying to hide it.
“For $5m, Louisiana’s flagship university will let an oil company weigh in on faculty research activities. Or, for $100,000, a corporation can participate in a research study, with “robust” reviewing powers and access to all resulting intellectual property.
Those are the conditions outlined in a boilerplate document that Louisiana State University’s fundraising arm circulated to oil majors and chemical companies affiliated with the Louisiana Chemical Association, an industry lobbying group, according to emails disclosed in response to a public records request by the Lens.”
