Washington College 2024
Well..... looks like the freshman are on campus. Seems like a pretty big class. Year 3 under Nostrant, any thoughts on what 2024 will bring to the eastern shore? I expect a similar, slightly improved season from 2023. CC will be competitive as it always is. Excited to see who is in net and what the defense will look like now that Nostrant has more of 'his' guys.

Not sure if I expect that much improvement, if any at all, as the offense surrounded Temple last year and the defense relied on Corrigan having crazy games. I'd love to see Nostrant have success with guys he recruited, but don't that will happen for a few more years.

^^^^^
Agree 100%
Temple was a stud and Brennan, Domenich, McFalls all had huge roles in the offense.
White and Torpey were cornerstones at close D and as others have mentioned - Corrigan had to stand on his head multiple games to give them a chance.
And now they are all gone.
Definitely expect growing pains this year and a regression in overall record/conference play. Probably have lots of young guys in the lineup?

I like a few of their young guys on offense.
Give 'em a fall to gel, they may surprise.

The Shoremen have Dickinson, Hale, Morgan, and Garrison returning. They will be more than okay.

Dickinson (24 pts)
Hale (20 pts)
Morgan (12 pts)
Hearing Brennan will also be back for a 5th year (30 pts)
WAC definitely losing some key pieces, don't get me wrong, but they have some guys still. Plus a huge freshman class. I can see this year going a lot of different ways for alot of reasons, only time will tell.
Re: Washington College 2024
Agreed. I think the big question will be defense, although Jack Winters is returning as well. That will be good for the underclassmen to be able to play with him, he is a great player. I also heard the freshman goalie from Broadneck is very good. I think they will surprise some teams this spring.westernbestern wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:48 amGarrison (45 pts)GoTerriers8 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:01 amNot sure who any of these guys are.kirbysmart14 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:05 pm The Shoremen have Dickinson, Hale, Morgan, and Garrison returning. Great coach, great dude.
That's a solid core of offensive players to build around. I expect a few of the younger players increase their output exponentially too.

Pat is all class. Home run hire. Alums should be very happy. Pat and Coach Torpey did an outstanding job at High Point.kramerica.inc wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 3:05 pm+1.westernbestern wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 4:41 pmHell of a hire for the programChopMan23 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 10:05 am https://washcollsports.com/news/2023/8/ ... rosse.aspx

Moved back to Maryland to be closer to family. He took the Saints Peter and Paul Athletic Director and coaching job when he came back.

Comments from a WAC Freshman- primarily a zone defense team this year.
I'm a fan of thus move. I don't know if the offense will have the power to outshoot dickinson/swarthmore/gettsburg, so their best hope is to rotate through a few different zone looks to see what works.

Re: Washington College 2024
I think it would be silly to already say you're going to be a man or zone team this early into fall ball. With that said I did feel Washington relied too much on the zone last season based on their personnel that they had. Now with this group only time will tell but I am confident that the staff will figure out what is best for the team by the season. Does anyone know the fall schedule? Would love to watch their fall ball scrimmage?westernbestern wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 6:38 amVery wrong here. They've had 1 practice.GoTerriers8 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 10:02 pm Comments from a WAC Freshman- primarily a zone defense team this year.

Temple is a big loss, but they are returning a lot of production on O that should step up. My biggest concern is who replaces TC White, he was a beast. Corrigan stood on his head most of the season, and will the F/O crew win the tough ones?

Looks like the Shoremen will be scrimmaging Arcadia and Chestnut Hill College on Sat. Oct 21LeftBenchCoach wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 11:28 pm Does anyone know what the fall scrimmage schedule looks like for WAC?
