Yes, I agree with what you have for Marist, including Detroit at Marist on 3/6. Apparently league made another round of changes and went from Marist @ Q’Pac to Detroit @ Marist.

But as things stand, I think there still might be a problem. Canisius is listing 5 home games, and no matter where the missing games are played, Siena can't have more than 3 home games. Flipping the location of the week 1 game would fix this. But there might be more shuffling than this going on given what I've mentioned above.
Week 1 of the MAAC has been changed to Canisius @ Siena. It looks like they came up with the same fix that I did.

Are Marist and Detroit Mercy possibly the two best teams in the conference?

Marist and Detroit have been 1 & 2 in all the polls. Detroit being ranked high for their defense and Marist for their O.

I expect a sloppy game today from Marist who's only had 5 days of practice with virtually no fall ball also.

Manhattan was looking much improved last year and could make a push.

Happy to get started!

Interesting concept - with the MAAC only scheduling games among conference teams, today's four games between the eight schools don't count toward the conference standings. Conference play begins with games next weekend.

Something to keep an eye on as we approach 2:00 - St Bonny might be heading for their first win as a D1 program

I think the Bonnies shook up pre-season rankings today with a win over Quinnipiac. Maybe they’ll go all the way to #1.

Not good for Q, other than it doesn't count

Quinnipiac on a 10 day freeze. The game with Marist is postponed.

Marist on campus pause through 3/31 resulting in the weekends game against the Griff's postponed. Will be interesting to see how MAAC handles these types of postponements going forward.

They are playing weekday games to make them up, Q-Marist and Q-Siena are both weekday games now so pretty confident Marist-Canisius will be too even though it's good size travel

Some interesting storylines to start the year: Manhattan is in great shape at 3-1 including 3-0 in games that count towards the standings. Siena has been somewhat snakebitten at 0-4 but never losing by more than 2 goals. St. Bonaventure getting their first win since the rebirth of the program and proving they can’t be taken for granted in their other matchups. Marist and Quinnipiac have had trouble getting on the field, so far all teams are playing this weekend for the first time since week 1, but it will make for some short turnarounds later.

Conference tournament games are scheduled to be played at the home of the higher seed instead of the usual one host for the three games. Unclear if Detroit Mercy or St. Bonaventure would be eligible to host, affiliates had been prohibited from hosting the tournament.

A very different new postseason format was announced for 2021. All 8 teams make the tournament. Higher seeds host quarterfinals on 4/30, semifinals on 5/5, and finals on 5/8. Because Detroit is leaving the MAAC after this season, they will not host any postseason game. St. Bonaventure is eligible to host a postseason game.

This leads me to believe there is a possibility that games that aren’t played won’t be rescheduled? A fair seeding methodology might be difficult if there is a wide range of number of games completed by each team.

Marist make-ups are already up on the schedule but they now take on less importance you could say. I don't have a problem with the everyone makes it format for this season. Now every team has time to get ready

Little bit of a revolt starting at Marist. No support for the athletes - coaches and players getting fed up.

Head Coach Wilkinson
Absolutely gutted for our players who continue to do everything right and will now miss out on another opportunity to compete this weekend. Mind blowing.

Assistant Coach Scarcello
Unbearable pill to swallow that our guys who have continued to test negative and act responsibly are being punished for the actions of others on/off campus. Proud of this team - beyond measure - for all the adversity they continue to endure.

The Marist voluntary campus shutdown has created a situation where Marist, assuming they are allowed to play with no more interruptions, would have to play a game every 3-4 days for 25 days in order to complete their schedule prior to the quarterfinals.

Will be interesting to see how the MAAC handles the standings/seedings if not all games are played. Will they go with win % or win total? for hoops they went with win total.
