USLM'S 2021 D-II WOMEN'S PRESEASON POSITIONAL PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

US Lacrosse Magazine announced Tuesday its 2021 Division II Women’s Preseason Positional Players of the Year, part of the magazine’s immersive coverage leading to the upcoming spring season.

Four players — an attacker, midfielder, defender and goalie — earned this distinction thanks to their performances during the 2020 season and our expectations for 2021.

Next Tuesday (Dec. 29), US Lacrosse Magazine will reveal its overall Division II Women’s Preseason Player of the Year.

PRESEASON ATTACKER OF THE YEAR
KOLE POLLOCK, ADELPHI
Pollock was off to another strong start in 2020, leading the Panthers with 10 goals and 12 points through four games played. With 277 career points, she is in line to become the eighth 300-point scorer in Adelphi history.

PRESEASON MIDFIELDER OF THE YEAR
CARLY FEDOROWSKI, LINDENWOOD
An IWLCA All-American in 2019, Fedorowski is dubbed by her coach as being a “Swiss-army-knife midfielder who can do it all.” In 10 games last year, she tallied 24 goals and 21 assists. Fedorowski ranks in the top five in LU history in nearly every statistical category.

PRESEASON DEFENDER OF THE YEAR
OLIVIA MCENTEE, LE MOYNE
Returning in 2021 as a graduate student, McEntee is a two-time All-American, including a first-team nod in 2019. One opposing coach described her as “unassuming, but she takes your top scorer away.” She posted career highs with 40 caused turnovers and 45 ground balls in 2019.

PRESEASON GOALIE OF THE YEAR
TATYANA PETTEWAY, EAST STROUDSBURG
As a four-year starter, Petteway was a second-team All-American in 2019, when she led all goalies in Division II in save percentage (54.8). She ranks second in school history with 625 career saves and could finish as ESU’s all-time saves leader.
