I believe their on campus interviews are done and we should be hearing shortly. From everything I have heard it seems like the University is backing the program pretty well with scholarships & funding. Just need someone to live in GA mountains.
StuckinD2 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 10:16 pmAny idea the coaches they’re reaching out too?! Without giving up names... I’ve heard they’ve had on campus interviews. Seems like they’re moving quickly. If they can get someone who can recruit YH seems to be a place with potential. They’re other programs are competitive or ranked on campus, and a lot of their coaches were first time Head Coaches who are having success their now!
Whoever it is, I hope it works out for the sake of D2 and Georgia lacrosse. Either of these 2 would be a home run for YHC.
Chris Ilse would have made a good HC pick for YHC. He is a former goalie and it has been said that the goalie needs to be the best athlete on the field. It also has been said that the goalie is made up of 80% toughness and 20% crazy. YHC could use that type of character in the clubhouse.

3rd time? I know they’ve posted it twice, I also know at least a couple very good coaches who applied and never even got a call? Don’t understand what they are looking for or doing their they are going to kill that program
Re: Young Harris lacrosse
The NCAA ad has been running four four weeks. No particular evidence of a third search...LaxCoach13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 8:23 am 3rd time? I believe Fritz turned it down.
Tough spot for Young Harris. The longer this goes, the more next season (2022) is in jeopardy as well.

Limestone has posted for an assistant position and their top assistant is no longer listed on their website...some dots being connected here?
Re: Young Harris lacrosse
Young Harris is a giant mess
Re: Young Harris lacrosse
The longer this search goes on the worse YHC AD looks. Do they not have a search committee ? It is becoming plain to see they have a true mess on their hands and they are not handling it well. Get some outside of their own Athletic Dept help in getting this program back on it's feet. I have said it before, this can be a quality program, and should be given what they have to offer in facilities and the academies. If the athletic dept was a player they would be benched.
Your preparations of today, will determine the achievements of tomorrow.

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
yes it is and I love the part where they say he's a great recruiter? He has no college experience, recruiting for a private school in Virginia is totally difference. But he does share the AD's vision I just wonder what that vision is. I do know there was at least a couple experienced college coaches who were interested in taking in this challenge because they knew the school overall and the area that never even got a call back. If I was a player there I would be concerned how much the school really cares about the program.River Donkey wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 3:26 pmDefinitely a head scratcher...RedFromMI wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 3:06 pm Finally - Michael Herring:
