She was President of her HS, captain of two sports, UVA plus grad Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, worked in India and Africa during semesters abroad...not a big surprise that she'd be unsatisfied in financial services, though hopefully some good grounding that could stand her well, and for any org she joins.

I am glad she is a stout and healthy young woman. I humped that kinda weight and much more when my unit was training at Ft Greeley in Alaska. I am sure you are being facetious because it ain't an adventure, it just flat out sucks. If you can get through it without frostbite or hypothermia you will come out ahead of the game. I can give you a tip to forward to her. When your out humping through the snow and it is freezing cold out, reduce your layers of clothing. If you are sweating like crazy and you stop to take a break, that sweat will freeze to your skin and you are in trouble. I saw it happen to several soldiers. It happens real quick like to.

Yes, though the boys tended to step up for that job on our 40 acres and the girls helped load the wagon.
I doubt that'll be a significant aspect of this gig, but certainly some trail maintenance, invasive species removal, etc.

If she was a smart Democrat and before leaving Maryland for a reliably conservative state, she should vote a few dozen times; no one checks anything in Baltimore.

She's a DC resident right now, or Baltimore County, not City...but hey, vote multiple times is the Trump mantra these days, so go ahead and project. But you're correct that she's a Democrat. Of my 8 nieces and nephews and son, (ages 24-30) I think only one nephew living in SC remains an R, but none are voting for Trump. At least half would have been voting R pre-Trump.
The GOP is losing that generation, perhaps for a long time.

Going to be a long time for that since most new residents moving here are Republicans.
https://floridapolitics.com/archives/35 ... -democrats
Between the November 2016 election and now, the Florida GOP has increased its voter base by 377,196 party members, according to the official book closing voter registration report released late Wednesday by the Florida Division of Elections, and compared with the same document for the November 2016 election. Florida Democrats meanwhile, have grown their party by 290,181 registered voters.
Mind you, most of the new Democrats are low-information, low education, historically low turnout voters, whereas the Republican new registrants are high income high information high turnout voters.

hmmm...true since 2016, but that's shifting...
GOP grew by 177k registered voters last year, Dems 190k...
https://dos.myflorida.com/elections/dat ... filiation/
funny projection about the voter bases, though.
Quite the opposite, but you keep telling yourself otherwise, PB.
BTW, young voters are greatly increasing registration as non affiliated, independent.
Florida is growing more ethnically diverse, fewer old white voters as a percentage of the whole.

I don't think Randy Andy Gillum's romp in a Miami hotel room with a male porn star, syringes, and crystal meth while his kids and wife were home did anything to help the base of Florida Dems, except with the usual pervs who are naturally attracted to the Party.

Sleeping with porn stars while he wife was pregnant sure as *hit helped Trump get votes! Those birds "nose-diving into the ground, mid-flight" are probably reading the same news about our addled, lying, con man of a "president" same as the rest of us. I know I feel like nose-diving into the ground pretty often out of the sheer embarrassment this guy causes...especially now that he is like a caged animal. How 'bout that town hall last night?? Good for her ! We need thousands more like her to make a 21st Century CCC work.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 2:44 pmYes, though the boys tended to step up for that job on our 40 acres and the girls helped load the wagon.
I doubt that'll be a significant aspect of this gig, but certainly some trail maintenance, invasive species removal, etc.
I wish her well & hope this turns out to be a new career for her.
Keep us updated on her progress.

Seems Joe Biden wants a scientist that follows the pack...just like him: https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/130 ... 24352?s=20
@JoeBiden
I can't believe I have to say this, but if I'm elected president, I won't put a climate change denier — one who called the scientific community "a bunch of thugs" — in charge of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.[/i
David Legates is a professor at UD and former Director of the Center for Climatic Research at the same university and a former Delaware state climatologist...Joe's home state.
