Re: Hobart 2024
Nice to see some chatter again! I think we will see Herlihy running middie again after a tough injury-filled time at attack last year. Greene too - that seems to be his happier place. They seem to also like Delano and Rosa running out of the box a bit. The take-away may be constantly mixing this up...

Re: Hobart 2024
Offense: Based on info gathered from the twitter coverage of the games and other conversations, looks like starting attack is Datellas, Delano and new #11, with Barthelme coming in as 4th guy. Freshman #11 is an immediate impact player for sure. They each got on the stat sheet multiple times. Barth...

Re: Hobart 2024
I heard Binghamton looked much improved but we still had our way with them. I heard Bach looked good. I heard defense was pretty good as well. I heard a couple of freshman (11 and 12) scored. I also heard LSMs were solid. Sounded like a nice start. I don‘t like to dwell on scrimmage scores too much...

Re: Hobart 2024
Took in the scrimmages yesterday. All three teams, Drexel, Binghamton, and Hobart, were pretty evenly matched. I don't know much about Drexel, but Binghamton is a much improved team from the past. I think that we may have outscored both teams slightly. The scoreboard was reset after each quarter, so...

Re: Hobart 2024
I saw at one point that we were scheduled to scrimmage at Binghamton. Is that still on?

Re: Hobart 2024
I disagree. Edu program is necessary, but management is a waste of time. It's just a way to keep kids. It's like an MBA ... go work before you get one. Mgmet, etc., are not liberal arts. I love the players those programs keep for us, but they aren't the type of program I'd recommend for my kid. Tra...

Re: Syracuse
I put this in one of my earlier posts - but I am asking again: Has the Syracuse Men's team experienced the same rate of ACL tears as the women have? If they are not similar it leads me to believe there is a difference in training for the two teams. Not necessarily. I believe that studies over the l...

Re: Syracuse
Rewatching some old games. Mashewske & Cheverie both injured themselves around the 50 yd line along the bench sideline. Coincidence or could there be dead spots in the field there? Or distracted from running along busy sidelines/cheering? Just some thoughts, miss seeing them both play and wishi...

Re: Hobart 2023
'Cuse is a super offensive team and will probably have a field day against our defense and rookie goalie. On top of that we've got injuries galore. I fear we should get ready for one of those woodshed games. Sorry to rain on the parade, but that's just the way I see it. It's survive and move on to b...

Re: Syracuse
you can chalk it up to random chance..but when there is such a clear trend of severe injuries like this through multiple years, sorry to say but there is some underlying issue there. Never seen anything like this. The strength and conditioning program, practice schedule, cleats, etc all need to be ...

Re: Syracuse
Yup, Widner was Dome....agree, it's excessive any way you look at. Same turf in Ensley? Hard for me to believe Cuse's practice and conditioning is all that much different than pretty much everyone else's. If the issue were the turf in the Dome/Ensley, you’d see more injuries to the men, no? Hasn’t ...

Re: Upcoming Best Games 2023
No disagreement on any of that. First year of this at Cuse and I didn't know anything about it. Went to the booth (cashless, of course) for tickets on opening day and the guy asked for my phone number after I paid. I asked what he needed my phone number for. Of course he said to text me my ticket. ...

Re: Hobart 2023
Wow, I am so glad that I did not travel to Geneva to watch this debacle. Is our defense historically bad or what? If there are 75 or so DI teams we must be around 76th in defense.

Re: Hobart 2023
BREAKING: Due to the wintry forecast, tomorrow's @HobartLacrosse -Dartmouth game has been moved inside the Poole Family Dome. There will be no general admission. Planed on going tomorrow I’m so glad that I took the day off tomorrow to head to the game. Unless the conditions are going to be like the...

Re: Hobart 2023
Dartmouth on a Tuesday is going to be a big challenge. Can't afford any letdowns after such a tough game at RoMo. I plan on being there to finally see the Statesmen in person. Do the Tailgatesmen get together for midweek games? Yes, at The Oaks . . . see you there! Sorry Ketch, couldn't resist . . ...

Re: Syracuse
Took in the game with DMac yesterday. Early in the game I picked the final score at 16-3. Not too far off. The Orange have a number of players who can really fly down the field. So impressive and a pleasure to watch such speed. Opinions on the actual fastest? DMac, please hold off on this one for a...
