Re: Next Programs To Win National Titles For The First Time?
The only thing preventing it is that (and I'm sorry to have to be the one to let everybody here know) nobody who matters cares about lacrosse. So nobody with $13M to toss around is going to blow it on enhancing a sport that will only lead to questions from hot women at cocktail parties of "isn...

There's a core of talent there for sure.
Just, they'll need to institute the Power Sweep.

I was about to say,
why would UMass leave the A-10, they're just getting going - although Torpey leaving takes the wind out of the A-10 sails a bit.
Hens going to the A-10 is about the least surprising (nearly) off season move.

Re: Villanova 2025
After a while, it becomes little more than an arms race - especially with these ACC teams.
Syracuse spends well over $4 million a year on lacrosse.
And with NIL - well, little wonder ACCs et al get all the top 10-15 year after year.

Re: Villanova 2025
Villanova is about 30th in DI in lacrosse spending.
Its up to Alum and dollar supporters to determine whether that's enough or more is needed.
But, comparing Villanova to Syracuse, Duke - those two spend way more than anyone on lacrosse.

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
There is no reason why Hopkins (especially now that it's winning again) can't have the top ranked class again. It provides a good education with the best financial aid coupled with Lax as the main sport on campus and NIL support. Hopkins will be able to attract talent for the reasons above. Cuse on...

I like Ben McMullen, he is humongous in goal. Good fundamentals. He was committed to the Hens originally, not sure what happened. And that goalie from Mass. looks pretty darn good, good size as well. Plus with Downs, that should be a threesome at goal most teams would be happy to have. I'd like to s...

Bit of a deeper dive on the faceoffs issue. When the teams played during the regular season, JHU had a 20-14 advantage against a Virginia team missing its top 2024 FOGO, Anthony Ghobriel. Last year, when Ghobriel was playing for Navy, he did well but didn't dominate against Hop FOGOs Callahan and D...

I'll be attending Semi-final day - that is about what I'm expecting - roughly same numbers as last year.
Prices look they are up though - that may have an impact.
