Re: NESCAC 2020
Hearing whispers out of New London several of the juniors on the team have recently accepted Investment Banking internships. Big question for the Camels this spring will be whether or not they make it onto the leveraged finance team on placement day. Scrappy kid out of CT Palumbo couldn't get over ...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Spot on with your remarks concerning a top 5 D3 team’s ability to hang at the D1 level. Yes, occasionally a particular player( like the Lynchburg kid at High Point currently) May be impactful but they are rare. More importantly is your reference to a playing a complete season. The wear and tear on ...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Looking like some potentially good news. If a season happens I think a natural follow up question has to be whether Amherst is relegated to the Little East Conference. I think at this point they will be more competitive here and have more fun.

Jon Coffey (Amherst, Attack) listed as a Key Transfer for Duke: https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/five-teams-that-could-be-most-improved-in-2021/56909 As we all know, Duke has loads of talent returning and coming in via recruiting and transfers. There will be a real logjam to get on the field ...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Tufts just announced at least one of its graduating seniors will return next season while pursuing a maters degree (see Tufts Lacrosse instagram) - Slap in the face to the other institutions that do not have the same ability. If other players follow suit, the Jumbos could be having themselves a 60 ...

Maybe i'm old fashion but adding 4th team seems like its pure trophy generation thing...feel bad for the kids not getting their season but do we really need a 4th team???

Hearing from an Amherst insider that John Thomson specifically pointed to Mac Bredhal as the cause of the closing of the school after the massacre at Bello Field on Saturday.

Re: NESCAC 2020
Week 2! Bowdoin (-3.5) vs Hamilton -- Bowdoin covers but would also be on brand for them to lay an egg Western New England vs Wes (-7.5) -- Jacoby is confirmed not academically ineligible and I expect him and the birds to impose their will! Colby vs Williams (-8.5) -- A lot depends on Hoffman playin...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Week 1 Betting Lines: Babson vs Bates (-7.5) -- going from RIT to the beavers should proove to be a nice change of pace for the cats Colby vs Tufts (-8.5) -- Mules kept it tight last year; bos usually come out fast in game 1 though Hamilton vs Amherst (-16.5) -- This will be ugly Midd (-3.5) vs Bowd...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Rumor has it Conn College has a couple big ACC transfers at attack coming in...combined with fully loaded new coaching staff. Should be interesting to see what comes out of New London this year... any more detail on which acc schools? if true this is exciting for the camels who have sat in a zone f...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Well, well, well... Backs are against the wall and the Jays pull it on in very convincing fashion against a top ranked opponent. Not sure if this group will be able to replicate that performance the next go around, but the confidence that has to be oozing through the locker room down at Homewood has...

Re: Yale 2019
Dogs rolling seemingly. Ierlan might be the most important transfer college lacrosse has had. Wondering how he fits in with the culture of the team- their team was cited as the cause for some of the pregame rule changes. Gadot spends a lot of time in the goalies face- it works for him but will the g...

Re: VIRGINIA Lacrosse
Thinking this matchup with cuse next week should be interesting. Both teams don't have the greatest amount of depth on the offensive end. Could come down to coaching adjustments. Desko likely to have the upper hand in that case in the Dome. Lars needs a win in the dome too, I cant imagine the alums ...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Homer announcers are great I agree with the above^ even as monotone as Ryan Powell is for the cuse games he understands the team dynamic well. He also doesnt spend his time acting like he's friends with the players (See Quint and Carc). Best ESPN color analyst is Ward

My take about Hop finishing in the final four might have been wrong. Hand up my fault.

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
There's not a reason for anyone to over react. Anyone who thinks Towson ends this season ahead of Hop is a clown. Hop has more weapons on offense than they know what to do with. Epstein is going to take over this thing, let Williams be a wing dodger or have those to work 2 man behind the net and le...

Re: Utah 2019
Congrats to Utah. Well deserved first win. Perhaps the most impressive part about this win is that the Utes were able to pull out the victory despite their offensive coordinator going to Park City the day after their first loss against Vermont. I'm all for growing the game out west, but it seems lik...
