From Lacrosse Magazine:

“This is probably the most talent Michigan has put on the field in our eight years of existence here,” Conry said.

- and with it comes the pressure to make the Big Ten tmt. for the first time.

LOL. Hey coach. Learn to sandbag to everyone but your team. Because if the team doesn't reach expectations after you just set them, you are the problem and everyone will blame you.

Program trending up - check
More talented on paper each year - check
Making a comment as the leader of the program which seems to set your goals reasonably within your grasp, not necessarily your reach -check
Seems like reasonable comment and goal for Michigan, whether it happens in a very competitive conference is still to be seen.

Big Ten Tournament

Quite a few changes:

Of course, the Big Ten schedule has been shuffled a bit so that Michigan plays their rival Ohio State on the last weekend of the regular season.

Michigan Season Preview:
https://mgoblue.com/news/2019/1/31/seas ... rosse.aspx

It will be interesting to see who will be the 6th man on the starting offensive group to go with Mack, Buckanavage, Noseworthy, Curran and Sutherland. Sutherland is a swing man, so Conry could go with an attackman like freshmen Bryce Clay or a midfielder like junior Avery Myers.

Great to have MU back on the schedule.
They had been playing, owing to the Conor Ford, Brian Voelker relationship.

Not another 15-14 game !!!

Big Blue up 15-14 2 mins left, sounds like a good one, hope for replay somewhere.

3 times DU came back to within one from 3-4 goals down.

Well, I guess this was the hope with shot clock.
16-15 games, OT, et al.

DU ties with 8 secs left.
OT, 16-16.

The Drexel face off man was crushing it, then Cronin just took over.

Nose with 3g, Buck and Mack 7p each.
Bowering DU 7g.

Michigan needs to get a D1 coach. Then they won't lose these kinds of games.

What is your point?

watched the game. Actually pretty disappointing. D was not very good and 34% save percentage is not going to cut it for this team. For a team with high expectations, this outcome has to be a head scratcher. The teams from this point forward on their schedule are all much better than the two teams Michigan has faced so far this season. It's only 2 games into the season, but I am worried about UM.

Jacksonville is Michigan's next opponent. Is Jacksonville much better than Drexel?

While their record may not indicate it, I think Jacksonville is better than Drexel. I think they will be ready to roll against UM.

I don't know about that.
Drexel took High Point to overtime, and High Point has beaten Duke and Virginia
Jacksonville is 0-3, having lost to Detroit. Duke and Marquette.

Point well taken on Drexel, but after Jacksonville, there are no cup cakes on the schedule remaining and this could end up being a very tough year for UM. Offense is certainly much improved this season so far and looks good. D, not so much....Not sure what has changed since last year with the D, they didn't really lose anyone on D. I figured it would be an area of strength for them this year.
