Loyola University Greyhounds 2025

Post by houndace1 »

Figured we start a thread for the 2025 group. Theres going to be a lot of new faces throughout various positions on the team. Not only does this affect Loyola but a lot of other programs as well due to the COVID extra year of eligibility.

The two teams that will definitely make noise in the PL though is Army and Colgate. I'm pretty sure they return north of about 75% of every major contributor from their 2024 teams.

Looks like Minicus and a bunch of unproven talent on offense for the Hounds. Looking to see what these four star recruits can do knowing that they are the only options. McGory was highest ranked recruit at #59. Dixon, McCullough,Haberman, Murphy, West, Cote all were highly recruited players. Turner was a surprise last year. Should be a fall ball battle for playing time. Wonder how Van will respond to inexperienced guys as he’s basically been playing only seniors/Grads the past four years. Will be interesting.

Terry Foy just reported Dave Cottle’s son, Sean who has been coaching Archbishop Spaulding and Annapolis youth lacrosse has been hired as an assistant coach at Loyola. Hope he helps run the offense and gives Van some extra eyes on the offense. Could this be Van’s eventual replacement? Inquiring minds want to know.

Vinnie Trujillo, Syracuse to Loyola per Terry Foy. Hounds need to backfill the SSDM position with the graduation of Sally and McGillicuddy.
