Faceoffs, like always, could be an X factor.

It wouldn’t be ‘the upset of all upsets’; that would be Albany beating Notre Dame.

Towson is legit. They actually have the needed key position pieces to beat Syracuse. Whether they will win depends on things we can’t begin to forecast.

I won’t be surprised by any result other than Towson winning by a lot; now that would be interesting.

Oh it would be quite the upset and could certainly happen...no doubt. I think the bigger upset though would/could be Lehigh beating Hopkins.

Tech! Leigh can absolutely beat Hopkins. Not a shock to anyone.

Albany beating ND would shock.

Absolutely you're right... that would shock and why I don't expect it. I wasn't saying Lehigh upset would be the biggest, just bigger than Towson. ;)

Splitting hairs at that point. Both would be monumental upsets. Certainly ND/Albany being bigger.

Syracuse losing a first round game on their own field would classify as a monumental loss, imo. Much like it was when they lost to Bryant.

Could it happen? Sure. Not very likely. If people were putting money on the game, very few would put dollars on Towson, the spread notwithstanding. But hey, that's why they say you play the games.

Massey ratings has Syracuse at -4.5,

Lehigh, St Joe's, Utah would be bigger upsets according to Massey's.

DraftKings has a -3.5 spread for Syracuse - not that big a spread.

This would not be a major upset for me at all - it would be an upset just not a major one. Towson is playing great lacrosse.

Lehigh upsetting hopkins would be a bigger upset than towson vs cuse because towson is a better team than lehigh. If hopkins loses, it wouldn't be a major shock either.

Does SU have better sticks the Towson? Yes. But the athleticism talk Is simply not happening. Towsons Def is 6’5, 6’4 , 6’2 on close, and all can move . Reece Potter - short stick is legit. And, two of the faster players on the field will be Weber & Weisharr on the first midfield. Understandable, that people want to look at the Hopkins game. Constantinides cadence on faceoffs was not working w the officials that day. He had 3-4 fouls early, and had a bad day. Doubtful they would have won, but it was IDK 2 goal lead @ half HOP. I think playing at the Dome is a massive advantage. As it should be. Mark- LIU, Kohn- Tufts, Mule- Lehigh …. remember where u came from. Syracuse had not had recent playoff success, and there Off pace is helpful & hurtful. Should be interesting.

That Towson game was the first game of the year too. Can't read too much into it since the players have grown a lot since then.

Not one upset this weekend, making next weekend epic battles.

Will Towson spoil the run by the big legacy programs?

Two teams actually,

not just Syracuse - the Orange of course due to all the titles -

but Tigers as well, are these two teams “back”.

Both teams could be playing without goalies and the score would be about the same

Fun game though!

close but feels like cuse is in control of this game due to FOs and complete lack of defense on towson side. Not sure towson is built to win a race. They lost that against UVa.

Not unlike the UVA game,
Tigers are keeping up, 6-5 Tigers start Q2.
