CAA 2024
Re: CAA 2024
It might be time for Hofstra to make a few lineup changes, or at least a few substitutions.
Re: CAA 2024
Hens - Dutch
Fairfield - Tigers
those are the two I’ll be watching most closely.

Re: CAA 2024
Payton Cormier well over 190 career goals now,
he may get to 200 against Drexel today.

Re: CAA 2024
Saturday games:
Delaware at Hampton, 12p
Stony Brook at Towson, 12p
Fairfield at Drexel, 1p
Monmouth at Hofstra, 1p
We should see if Monmouth beating Stony Brook last week was an aberration (Monmouth keeper with 19 saves vs 6 goals) or if Monmouth joins Hofstra and Fairfield in trying to find a way into CAA top four and post-season.

Re: CAA 2024
Tigers Hens and yes, Fairfield have separated themselves from the pack.
Re: CAA 2024
Kind of early to put Fairfield in the same class as Delaware and Towson. The Stags still have to face Delaware, Monmouth, Stony Brook, and Hampton. They could easily go 1-3 the rest of the way.
Re: CAA 2024
I would be extremely hesitant to say that anyone has separated themselves from the pack this early. There are 2-3 good teams in the conference. However, any one of those top three could lose to 4-6. If you meant separated themselves for an upper hand on making the CAA tournament then I think I agree with you. Once that top 4 is established it is really a crap shoot to pick a conference winner. No great or really good teams in the CAA this year, sadly. They all have weaknesses to exploit.
Drexel and Stony Brook have been very disappointing this year. But that could all change on a dime. We shall see.

Re: CAA 2024
Working from the pre-season assumption that you have a top four (Delaware, Towson, SB, Drexel) and a next three (Hofstra, Fairfield, Monmouth), there are really two key games for making CAA tourney: Drexel @ SB on 4/6 (loser is in a real hole) and Fairfield @ Monmouth on 4/13 (Stags win puts them in a good spot; Monmouth win adds to the jumble). Towson @ Delaware on 4/26 possibly for top seed.Henpecked wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 12:52 pmI would be extremely hesitant to say that anyone has separated themselves from the pack this early.
