UNC 2024 Post-Season Expectations

Post by uncfan1013 »

The regular season is over, truly disappointed with the amount of injuries knowing how good we could’ve been this year.

Our two best impact freshman are injured (Eva & Grace), C Humphrey injury took her out for the season and she could’ve had so much impact. Walker-Welch is a pivotal defender and is missed deeply. Marissa White was one of our top returners and that injury is so unfortunate after her freshman breakout season. Harden was improving and was a great piece in that midfield. Sophie Student was amazing at the draw and could’ve provided depth. We have had way too much injuries this year and that’s what’s stopping us.

Our regular season went okay but improvement on the defensive side is needed. This offense has been clicking more and more to end the season, but the GK situation needs to be fixed. Imo Harrison should be starting ASAP based on her save percentage and basically how she has played. Nicholas is amazing, but she has struggled a lot at the end of this regular season. The Syracuse game is an example. Our offense is doing good but depth can be a problem. The sophomores are stepping up, but I think this year we honestly can’t do much in the postseason. Nalls is giving it all though, playing offense and defense in some games now. Getting GB & Draw Controls everywhere, she is an amazing player. Also, Humphrey is one of our best players and it shows with her vision and assists. She is completely underrated and doesn’t receive recognition.

Let the postseason start!!
