Let's also not forget the '01,' 03, '04, and '10 National Championship seasons. They're a traditional blue blood program, just still recovering from the Great War.
Took that comment way out of context. CNN would be a great work place environment for you

Union at 6 is a push. I think Wesleyan
W&L and Tufts should be ahead of them. Wesleyan 6, W&L 7, tufts 8, Union 9

Union got flattened in both of their T10 match ups

That’s because Swarthmore’s schedule is pretty soft compared to essentially everyone else in/around the rankings. York fans in particular should know that raw W-L by itself is not a good measure of a team! The Gburg win is obviously good, but that’s Swarthmore’s only relevant win…and it’s one they share with Amherst, who has two additional ranked wins and a third over a team receiving votes. Swarthmore’s second-best win is…F&M? Muhlenberg? You get my point; if those are resume-defining wins, that is a very blah resume.

FWIW, I think having them over Amherst is whatever. I wouldn’t (/won’t when I do mine), but I at least understand the logic. I think the bigger  is having them at #8 with that schedule.

I think that part of their poll is just about disliking a school because of personal history. There is zero coherent argument for the bottom half of the top ten to shake out like that.

Yeah. And honestly after bury RIT SLU RPI it’s a toss up on where to rank everyone else. This should be a fantastic month of D3 lacrosse ahead.

Dislike for certain schools bc of personal history? Nah, check the posts,I sing the praises of schools I should hate (York, Salisbury, RIT, Tufts) being a Stevenson 14' grad I don't think you'd really understand where I'm coming from. Do I have some animosity for certain schools and their fans who put themselves on petistools? Absolutely.

Bottom half of the my top ten was admittedly tough to come up with. Seen a lot of games this year, just going off those experiences thus far. I think outside of the LL top 3 the North is a toss up right now, NESCAC is a mess. Salisbury is as good as advertised in the South. Still think they run away with it this year.

again, all of these polls make more sense then your ranking. with all of the negative comments you make about others, why not just take two mins and post your ranking, so the rest of us can see who you rank low because of personal feelings. :)

i can agree with this. as many have said, these teams are all so close. it comes down to matchups. some teams ranked low, can match up against the top teams and that can shake up a lot of games. so many of these teams will face each other over then next few weeks and this will all look different

Fair enough - whatever the reason, there is zero argument for Union and Tufts to be where they are given what they’ve put on the field. That’s my point.

Edit: FWIW agree with your overall view of how D3 shakes out right now, though I’d probably still have RIT as a heavy favorite in the north. NESCAC seemingly being more open than in past years is much more entertaining than the usual race for second, even if it means there might not be a really great team like there has been in the past. Hope it lasts.

- complain about my ranking (without naming a single specific issue)

- say I haven’t posted a ranking to complain about

Pick one.

Trinity lost to skidmore, not sure if that is forgivable. Also Union at 20 is ridiculous after beating a good number of those teams ahead of them.

Lacrosse games only count on neutral fields in the sunshine? Not exactly sure how that win was due to “luck”. Maybe you can explain?

The two resumes aren’t equal. RPI clearly has the better wins and more difficult schedule. They get the nod this week after a strong win vs another top ten team while Salisbury can’t separate from a 3-10 Washington squad. Ultimately meaningless until May. If RPI loses to Amherst on Wednesday, back down they go.

Interesting that SU can play WAC and win by five, game was never actually a tight game. One the oldest most well known lax rivalries that exist yet you feel they play a weak schedule. 54 straight home wins, 14-0 currently and defending Nat Champs. Top Massey ranking and poll ranking, your take seems to be based only on what you think but not by true supporting data.

Salisbury has wins over CNU, Lynchburg, Gettysburg, York, Stevenson.

RPI has wins over RIT, Union, York, Muhlenberg, Middlebury, Williams.

I would say their resumes are fairly even. Both have one really good win (RIT/CNU), and a whole bunch of wins against 15-30 caliber teams.
