How do the Hounds look this fall?
I like this team on paper.
But that doesnt mean much.
Nice to have Stover and Spencer as leaders on each side of the field. Both are game changers.
Attack is young and seems set. Could a Candian contribute?
There are some people on the defensive side that have been developing and waiting for their turn. Dwan is always developing th next man up.
Same for midfield. And LSM.
Wonder if any Freshmen can crack the lineup?
Enjoyed watching Bateman in the MIAA. Thought he was one of the bests in the conference last year. But not sure if he's ready for primetime yet. Might be a second line/clearing guy to start.
What say you?

Chase Scanlon had a great Minto Cup, winning the cup and beating a team with Jeff Teat and Clarke Peterson.

Projected as a middie.

The spots seem to be taken down at "attack." At least on paper. But I think there will be opportunities for kids to step up, given a couple of the graduations on offense.
The good news for hounds fans is that Van Arsdale likes to give people chances to get on the field in different roles. The Loyola O is run more as an offense with six offensive positions, not just attack always playing from behind and defense always playing from up top. Spencer plays all over the field as did many others last year.
There will be plenty of opporutnities for kids including on second midfield, EMO speciualists and clearing/trransition roles. Hoping they are all working hard and gelling as a team this fall!
:D

Love watching this kid play both in box and field. i can see him fitting in pretty well with the Hounds offense.

I saw that Loyola looked good vs UNC, what Freshaman played? Scanlon, how did he look? They have a very difficult non league schedule, will it hurt them or propel them to the final 4. Thoughts?

I'm looking forward to seeing Scanlon. There appears to be room at midfield. No decent predictions for the weather a week from Saturday yet although it should be seasonably cold the day before Lars leads the men to the RAC.

“Loyola’s Spencer and sophomore attackman Kevin Lindley — who finished the game with a team-high eight goals”

From write up on UNC Loyola scrimmage.
Eight goals.

Preliminary forecast says high of 36, mixed sun and clouds. It should feel like a heatwave compared to today.

Is Linley the lefty? From what I remember last year, the lefty played all the time while the righty came out from time to time when Drapeau played attack.

They're actually both left handed although Lindley is the one who played all the time. Olmstead is more two handed but left is his strong hand and this year I'd expect him to be full time on attack. I think Lindley had an 8 goal game last season too. He's a really clever off ball player who never stops moving.

How does Savio look on face-offs? Schwenk is coming off a decent year, and his backup comes highly recommended.

Went out to Ridley to watch the Richmond scrimmage, Salvio looked solid, great wing play

Does anyone have any idea what happened to Jack Calderone. I was a big fan of his in HS and he isn't showing up on the roster. What gives?
