What a strange and completely out of the way site to choose for this scrimmage as opposed to one of their campuses.

Recruiting opportunity for the three programs continuing beyond 2024. Happens all the time. Brand exposure.

Makes sense. Ocean City is always among the stronger publics in South Jersey, and not far away is St Augustine, one of the stronger privates in all of NJ. There was a Fall scrimmage there last year as well if I’m not mistaken…
Re: CABRINI 2024
i believe they've been doing a fall ball event there for the past 2-3 years.
i'd imagine it has some charity involvement to it as well.
EDIT: Fall Brawl - benefits a charity to help fight addiction.

OC is one of the nicer venues to play it in NJ as well. Right on the OC boardwalk!choochooCharlie wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 2:31 pmMakes sense. Indeed. In 2016, a young man passed, Jake Durkin. If memory serves substances were involved. Timmy Brooks (your welcome to revisit his incredible journey) and others led the fundraising to build the wall in the corner of the field and the program began involvement in the event.
Really is a cool HS campus and field location. Every time we're on the boards I always think about how much of blast it must be to play on a field where you can see the waves crashing.ChopMan23 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 8:40 amOC is one of the nicer venues to play it in NJ as well. Congratulations on another solid performance this weekend with wins against Gettysburg and Widener in Ocean City! 27 STRONG!

Good on them. Any idea on the scores? Who looked sharp etc?

Colf is selling wolf tickets with that interview. I understand it. ...And love the mentality expressed by the boys.DeepPocket wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 3:53 pm https://www.usalaxmagazine.com/college/ ... nal-season

Yea, kinda schiesty. I haven’t met anyone that even considered the possibility that he somehow didn’t know the closure was happening when he left.
Now that he is trying to claim that that was the case, it somehow actually makes it seem worse. Bottom line, we don’t have to pay his bills, so I get the job shift. But don’t be dishonest about it, because the cover up often is worse than the crime.

Another article. Glad the boys are getting some attention.

Re: CABRINI 2024
Agreed Charlie. The "we're all seniors" thing hits home. That feeling is something we all went through. Knowing it was the last year we'd play college ball. Time flies. Will be over before they know it. Nothin' but babies and memories.
Re: CABRINI 2024
My last ever Cabrini Lax Apparel Store order was large. Got the "last dance" sweatshirt as well. Felt corny ordering it. But love it now. Watched our insta OC fall ball recap post. Those boys certainly look the part. One of my former teammates, and possibly the most talented player to come through Cabrini's gates (though lacking the exposure and national accolades, he was our first HM AA in 2003) Mike Pape, used to post a (now overused) quote on his AIM (eff we're old): "If you couldn't play tomorrow, how hard would you play today?" He lifted that. Like our micro/macro-economics tests. Dozens of ways to say the same thing using any one of the Stoics. But there is magic in that mindset. They seem to have captured it this fall. If that carries over to the spring, and it should, we are in for a treat.
Re: CABRINI 2024
I'm borderline obnoxiously active on these threads this week. Just peeped the 2024 roster and noticed Bear Evans stayed too. We've only had a handful of Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA.) alums on the roster. Myself, Paul Skulski (STUD), Tyler Moschella, Evan Trizonis, Sam DiTrollo (DAWG, hope he kills it at Drexel) and Bear. Absolutely love that he'll lock us down for the last iteration with some GV Oneness.

Any murmurs of players hitting the portal mid year?

Re: CABRINI 2024
with a super solid fall showing I would imagine that the roster will have very little movement.
