My best guess. The game is in 4 hours, so you haven't missed anything

Please prepare a 5 to 7 paragraph synopsis of the game for the rest of us... :D

7-3 Brunswick at the half. Bruins came out flying and scored 4 goals in the blink of an eye. Darien stabilized with two straight to close out the first. Both teams have been sloppy in the second quarter: Brunswick has turned it over multiple times on the clear, and Darien got called for a moving pick on 3 straight possessions I believe -- don't think I've seen a team do that three times in a row ever. Brunswick dominating at the face-off X as expected. Neither goalie standing on their head, but also no soft goals either.

For Brunswick, Anderson has been a party starter and great on gbs. Garcia got the first two goals and has been a matchup problem. For Darien Pokorny has been involved, but looks very rusty -- apparently only just got cleared to play this week after off-season surgery; he's got a goal and an assist but has thrown the ball away a few times. Generally speaking, Darien's defense has been very good at applying pressure in the middle of the field and on loose balls, and Brunswick's defense has caused chaos in settled sets. Other than the obvious face-off discrepancy, biggest differences are that Brunswick has had cleaner stick work and looks more polished, and their defense has been more organized.

Edit: 12-6 Brunswick final. Honestly a pretty ugly game overall; choppy action, turnovers, and lots of penalties (without a whole lot of conversions on the EMO). Brunswick looked pretty good (especially defensively), but still a bit sloppy -- if they play like this against Lawrenceville they'll have their work cut out for them. Williams in goal has probably been waiting for this rematch more than anyone on either team, and he stole a few in the second half to erase the demons from last year, with a couple of assists from the pipe. Hausmann has a beautiful shooting stroke; he feasted on short sticks with a simple roll back into a shot 3-4 times, and the Wave had no answer or adjustment for it. Darien frankly played terribly on offense -- had trouble stringing passes together and had zero offensive flow. Their defense was decent after the first 5-6 minutes when they were out of sorts, and they were good on the ride. But they had a lot of completely unforced turnovers that killed any opportunities to gain momentum that Brunswick handed them.

THANK YOU.

P1: Brunswick 12-6, not as close as score might suggest.
P2: Darien 0-2.
P3: Darien half field 6 v 6 defense very confused early.

P4: Brunswick better athletes.
P5: NO DRAMA!

Taft, DA, Salisbury, CRH should all roll with ease. Predicting Taft by 8, DA by 8, Salisbury by 10, CRH by 12. LC and 'wick should be the game of the day. Will the Bruins be able to make a quick turn after downing Darien on Thurs.? Can the Pelicans overcome injuries to key players? Tune in at 2p EDT to find out: https://events.locallive.tv/events/139519.

Never trust those Youtube streams. Best bet is always just to type in "school name livestream". Or go to the athletics page of a school's website.

Week 3: Not so accurate rankings of D1-2-3 NE West teams

RECAP (Rain on 4/3 canceled some games):
-NEW1 Tiers: Tier 1 (1-5), Tier 2 (6-10), Tier 3 (11-13)
-Wick remains the champs with 2 good wins
-still believe that Loomis is a good team but lost their chance to unseat the champion
-Deerfield fixing the early season hiccups and come back with 2 beat downs
-TP with 2 solid losses, I think they will be better than their record shows
-Millbrook stays in the top D2 spot with losses to 2 D1 teams
-Gunnery moving up with a good loss and great win against Williston
-Canterbury looks like they have fallen on hard times losing to D2-Day School King and a bad loss to Pomfret
-Conversely, King moves up to the top D2 Day School pole position overtaking GCDS
-Hopkins, KO and St Lukes battling for the bottom of the D2 Day Schools with KO coming out on top and Hopkins falling to the bottom
-Last years D3 champ Williams moves back into the top spot with 2 solid wins

THINGS TO WATCH THIS WEEK (schedule at the end of this post):
-4/10 Wick vs L'ville (LVille for the win)
-4/10 Taft vs Hill (Hill in a pick'em)
-4/10 Salisbury vs TP (Salisbury in a close one)
-4/10 Deerfield vs Exeter (Deerfield)
-4/10 AOF vs Berkshire to see who moves up in Tier 2 (AOF)
-4/10 Kent vs D2 Millbrook (Millbrook)
-4/10 Salisbury vs KHiss (Salisbury)
-4/13 Choate vs Deerfield - is Choate a Tier 1 or will they stay in Tier 2 (Deerfield)
-4/13 Kent vs D2 Albany Academies (Albany)
-4/8 KO vs RCDS - can KO move up with the big boys (RCDS)
-4/9 GCDS vs King - for the top spot in D2-Day (GCDS)
-4/13 Canterbury vs GCDS - will Canterbury continue to free fall (GCDS)
-4/13 Hopkins vs Suffield Academy - one of the only winnable games for either team (Suffield)
-4/13 Williston vs Millbrook - is Williston a pretender (Millbrook)
-4/10 Storm King vs Wooster - will Storm King actually play a game (Wooster)

Thanks for the compilation and analysis as always JOP. As Omar Little said "You come at the king, you best not miss." Well LC missed on Sat. vs 'wick. I'm not sure if DA is the second best team in NEW1 right now but it might be as it gets on track from its opening losses. One thing to note is that Taft beat Kiski 11 - 10, not 11 - 0. To-date, the Rhinos have been without two of their best close defenders (and may be all season) and the result is evident in the outcomes of their games. I agree that TP may be underrated at this point and should not be overlooked.

My apologies SL for the fat fingers and trying to squeeze this in between work duties as much of this is put together in haste  . Yes 11-10 Taft over Kiski and is corrected

I really like some of the pG's Deerfield brought in and if they have overcome their early season missteps. I think they will even give Wick a run for the money but some of that may be wishful thinking, not because I root for Deerfield but I like a little chaos at the top of the charts. The top Tier 1-5 remains a mystery. I am not sure todays games even sort it out for me but some big ones today (with predictions):

-Hill @ Taft (Hill by 1, Taft missing D doesnt help)
-Wick @ Lville (Lville by 2)
-TP @ Salisbury (Salisbury by 2 but would not be surprised at an upset, should at least be closse)
-Loomis @ HKss (Loomis by 6)

Can anyone point me (and the rest of us internet lame-o's on this thread) to any livestreams for any of the games?

I. of course, would prefer a link to the Taft/Hill game, but others might have other preferences. 'wick/L'ville may well be a national championship precursor. If TP is playing as well as they seem, they might give the Sarum Knights a heart attack.

Best bet for livestreams is to look at the instagram pages for the teams or search "(home team school) livestream" on Google.

I went to Brunswick’s Twitter page and they had the YouTube link in their bio. But here it is anyway:

2-2 all now.
