I wasn't watching it but had the stream of BH-Deerfield going and would periodically check the score. I believe it was 11-6 BH towards the end of the 3rd when I had to step out, and Deerfield mounted a pretty serious comeback because when I got home it was 12-12 in overtime.

Loomis goes on the road without the services of its only true FOGO and beats Salisbury 10 - 8. The Pelicans led wire to wire by several goals at times although the Sarum Knights closed the gap to one with a strong Q3 rally.

Reading that Brunswick topped Deerfield in two OT’s.

Would be great if any Fanlax posters were there and could provide some color.

PAIN again, for the 2nd time in 3 days for myself and all of the DA faithful.... Watched most of the game and have to give credit to both teams for the hustle and physicality for the majority of the contest. Big Green had several chances to win the game during both OT periods....Let's regroup and get a W soon....

I may be reading it wrong, apologies if I am, but does the above list indicate that Deerfield has SEVEN PGs?

As a long time fan of the WICK/Deerfield series, I have to say that there waa an unfortunate amount of home cooking in this one.

Great statement performance by the Pelicans who earned their first win against Salisbury since 2007. As referenced above, Loomis were up 8-2 midway through the third when Salisbury scored five in quick succession to make it 8-7 entering the fourth quarter. They were able to calm the storm and get the win.

Faceoff will remain a major question especially as Brunswick looms over the horizon for their matchup next Saturday. They won only one faceoff the entire game mainly using their ssdm to try to scrum it up but salisburys FOGO did a good job winning it cleanly. Loomis’ Hopkins bound FOGO scored a hat trick against Govs and if he was able to play today he would have tilted this game even further. They are also missing last years leading scorer and one of the top 2026s in the nation in Conway-Reppert. If Loomis could beat Salisbury without those two, they will only get better if and whenever they return.

Only saw the end of Brunswick/ Salisbury, but that was one of the more chaotic periods of OT I’ve seen at any level. Deerfield must be hurting after two straight intense OT losses.

Some other scores from the league.

Hotchkiss 7 - Andover 9

Hotchkiss had some promising results in the fall, but fall to an undefeated Andover in their opener.

Westminster 7 - Belmont Hill 13
Westminster 15 - Frederick Gunn 12

Laxxal has a good write up on the Friday BH game but the score was much closer than the game itself. They bounced back with a win, but the martlets probably aren’t too pleased only beating a west2 team by 3

Choate 19 - Pomfret 2

Blowout win for Choate after beating Berkshire by 3 on Wednesday.

Taft 16 - Sebs 13

The isl thread has commentary but worth noting Brunswick routed Sebs 12-1 earlier in the year.

Avon played tabor, Kent played nmh, and Berkshire played Cushing, but no scores yet.

Do you know anything about the injuries? I was wondering why Milki wasn’t in any of the highlight vids they post. If he played he would be!

I only caught the end of regulation and the OTs of this stream. I can't remember if this was end of regulation or the first OT but Brunswick had a full on fast break with about 30 seconds left and the refs blew the play dead, seemingly out of nowhere. The Deerfield students on the call didn't know/explain what happened, other than the Brunswick coaches were furious. Wick kept the ball on the restart, so I have absolutely no idea what the call could have been. I can certainly see how that would feel like home cooking to Bruins fans.
