Much bigger margin than expected, but it's pretty hard to call that an upset. Similarly ranked by just about everyone, with the Red Devils ahead in the Usila (#12 v #16).

I don’t think swarthmore is a top 20 team. But they did upset gettysburgh.

Swarthmore is a good team, definitely a top 20 team. But there was definitely some “flavor of the week” elements to them jumping so far in the rankings after beating Gettysburg. I was surprised by the margin of victory, but not surprised at all that Dickinson won that game, I think that is true for most people.

I think your perspective is pretty skewed with regards to SoS (I think you're a York fan? which could explain it). You're also somewhat fixated on the "Top 20" which is neither a particularly reliable selection with the available polls, nor something the selection committee considers. Swat is very much in the mix for a Pool C bid, even without considering the additional SoS and potential RR game(s) they will pick up in the Centennial tournament.

Was going to say, Swarthmore already has four good wins that will probably matter come selection time (Gettysburg, F&M, Muhlenberg, Roanoke). The Vassar loss is awful, but they’re 10-2 with some legit wins on their resume.

The F&M win won’t matter. They will not be regionally ranked at this point.
