Is that a typo? Gebhardt returning?

I believe the 2020 and 2021 seasons did not count against eligibility in Division 3. So the HS class of 2019 get an extra 2 years, class of 2020 gets 1 extra year, 2021 and beyond get 4 years total.

Not bad for Mr Gebhart, bachelors degree from stevens tech, masters from MIT, and I’m sure some scoring titles to go along with that (which may not mean as much on a resume but on fanlax that’s a big deal)

Coast Guard with a nice 12-11 OT home win over (then) #17 RPI.

Babson 12-10 over Roger Williams. 23 saves by RW goalie.
Springfield falls 10-8 to Nazareth on the road.

MIT idle.
If we need that extra push over the cliff, ya know what we do...eleven, exactly.

The RW goalie was very good and I think in his save total are also the 7-10 shots that hit pipe.

Babson absolutely beat the brakes off of Coast Guard today. Very reminiscent of the 2021 NEWMAC championship game. Just pure dominance by Babson. No way Babson should be left out of the top 20 ranking next week given their only loss was to Number 5/6 Union in a competitive game.

4-1 with one decent win does not a Top 20 resume make at this point in the season. A win against Bowdoin would get them in.

What resume did Coast Guard have to deserve a top 20 ranking in Nike? Absolutely nothing except for a win against Wesleyan 5 years ago that has lead to them being one of the most criminally overrated teams every year. Only other team that is more overrated at the start of every year is RPI. Both MIT and Babson should be in the top 20 that’s my two sense. Both of those teams can compete with anyone in the country.

Coast Guard started the season 3-0 against three good teams that each made the NCAA tournament last season! Agreed that MIT and Babson are weirdly under the radar though.

I agree too that Babson is having a good start to the season.... However, to say that Coast Guard and RPI are criminally overrated each and every year is comical. Lets slow down here, Mr. Babson. I think Babson can make some noise by the end of the year but let's not forget that RPI was the only team to beat the National Champion last year and also made the NCAA Tournament. MIT? One kid changed that program, let's be honest. Other than that, they have been irrelevant. The league does not come close to the Liberty League. This is all great stuff here and let's be happy that D3 lacrosse has reached another level.

Unbelievable game plan by the chief dawgs on the defensive end and the offense was on fire! Do we think the rest of the newmac does the same game plan defensively vs gephardt and lock him off?

MIT was without their number 2 Attack man Heath Nielsen vs Springfield so it made it easier to say “MIT play us 5v5 without Mr 6 year.”

Exactly what RIT did in the Tournament last year.

Yes, essentially face guard him and play 5 on 5.

Until they find a way around it, would be coaching malpractice not to.

Thought it was pretty weird that MIT was so content to let Gebhardt stand around and not even try to scheme him open. The few times he got the ball and decided to dodge a double he put good looks on cage.
