Is it too early? Looking at the ILW pre-season AA list made me think..anyway here’s my list;

I love that Det gets a vote here, but I dont see the committee choosing a Defender.

Also Re that list …seems ward and carney have fallen out of favor….also wurtz is not a 1st team AA….imo

I love the Det nod too, but think Bosco would be tough competition if the committee even gives a defender the time of day

Also Re that list …seems ward and carney have fallen out of favor….also wurtz is not a 1st team AA….imo

Ward didn’t play last year due to injury. Wouldn’t expect to see her on many lists, yet!

....and Carney was at 75% at best, wouldn't expect to see her on there either.
Am kind of surprised to not see Nattie Smith's name on there though.

Smith was very inconsistent. Had some very big games and then would disappear. If she becomes a more consistent player she could possibly be an AA.

Scane has years of play behind her to warrants it, Ward only has freshman year! That’s a big difference.

She’s very good, but if a defender does make it then I have to guess Bosco.

I am, but then again I can't take these pre season polls, rankings, lists, etc the least bit seriously.
Maybe she's still got a shot of making the top 100 T Award watch list a couple of weeks into the
season though.
Nat's a pretty good little player heading into her Jr year with a little experience under her belt.
Took a big leap in her Soph year compared to her Frosh year, got a little more experience now,
we'll see what the season brings.

Yes it's too early. Lets see some games first! The landscape of the womens D1 game has changed considerably with last years graduates moving on. The 2017 recruiting class was an extremely talented group which means new roles for most of the players on both AA lists. It will be interesting to watch some of these players as they now attract the top defenders as well as the new goalies and defenders that will emerge this season. It's feeling more like the Wild West out there to me. A lot has changed for most of the teams on the top 20 lists, like most years, but the 2017 class was experienced and particularly good IMO. This year's seniors have about the same amount of game experience as the junior class due to Covid. Looking forward to seeing it all play out.
