Gosh Holmes, it's like you've been eavesdropping on my conversations with my spouse, whose expectations I am trying to manage. I don't have a lot of confidence in a Democratic majority being forged this November; I do think the GOP majority will be narrowed, making some government by cross-aisle deal-making and consensus necessary. And strangely, it would be entertaining to watch the idiot Kevin McCarthy try to be the Speaker.
