Rutgers triggers Lorin to no end.
The Big 10 in general, but Rutgers for some godforsaken reason really does. It's bizarre. Keep tilting at those windmills, lorin.

not really bizarre, and it's rutgers' fans, not rutgers... imo. still, a slog for him that he's willing to take lead sled dog on.

and we all know we're just getting started on this thread! iorin, you're gonna be in for a long year vs rutty fans if you're into it already.
All in fun my friends.

Every post that talked about the scrimmage in this thread stated “we all know it’s a scrimmage so you can’t get too wrapped up in the weeds” ….just like every other team thread that’s had a scrimmage…😏

People are excited for nuggets…that’s all

No, it's Rutgers. It's Brecht taking transfers and Rutgers winning.

Dollars donuts his kid didn't get recruited by the school so he's got an axe to grind. The more the program wins the more upset he gets. It's pretty funny.

Rutgers didn't play starters or too many upperclassmen.

Even so, it went as expected. The young guys blew them out by 14 goals or so.

We won 14-11. Was a close game throughout. I don’t know anything about Villanova but they have a preseason first team AA at midfield.

I couldn't make this one but I also heard this was the score. Most if not all of the RU starters sat, not unsurprisingly. I was told Villanova played their starters through the 3rd quarter. This is a good sign if our underclassman and back ups compete at this level.

Not sure on the defensive end but the only starter on the offensive end that played was Cameron.

I think we are going to see some first years make an impact. Kurdyla and Shane Murphy on O and Dollive at SSDM. Especially Murphy. He's putting himself in a position where you simply have to play him.

All of the Rutgers starters played. The only starter that did not play was Ross Scott for something that was outside of lacrosse. Villanova played well and Rutgers was not at their best. The goalies were solid on both sides. The second half was mostly second lines and youngsters for Rutgers. Rutgers has some young talent coming up from their recruiting and the transfers look very good and are a cultural fit on and off the field. Freshmen Murphy looks solid as does Macheca. Decker, Miller and Daniels look good at SSDM. Cameron has looked better than last year on attack. Mullin looks good in goal but Rutgers Depalma and Stoller are very good too. The Knights have a lot of pieces. Should be a fun season if they stay locked in and can get their fare share of possessions.

Solid day for the Knights. Dante Kulas' shooting percentage must be off the charts for his career. Small sample size but he finds the back of the net when he shoots.

What you want at the start of the season. Almost the entire roster entered the game with the starters getting rested early with no injuries. Marist was a team Rutgers struggled with last year and they return a lot.

Good win to start the season.

Workman like win for the squad today. Missing Ethan Rall and Jon Dugenio notwithstanding. Yale transfer Neumann did an excellent job at the x. If he can get going with Dugenio, that's going to bode well for B1G play.

Hats off to SB's goalie. He stood on his head today. Had to have had north of 20 saves.
