Yes just meant CNY kids don’t seem to be recruited quite as hard lately, know some Cuse fans think the region is less fertile, but there’s talent going unheralded still like him and Gilmartin.

One issue was Desko wasn’t contacting some of the very talented legacies. One of which is now at VA

Jamie Archer's kid had a very fine career for us. I hope Gait and Petro behave in similar fashion!

NYT article on Cornell fraternity not flattering, but hardly surprising. I’m not castle aspersions on Cornell. It’s fraternities overall that have are the issue.

I should have mentioned Jacksonville also has a Cuse legacy for next season

Yes, very sad news. He was also the back up goalie on a championship hockey team. Now both lacrosse goalies (both AAs) from the 1971 championship lacrosse team have passed too soon-- Bob Rule and Bob Buhmann.

Bob was a dear friend. He is the only member of the Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame to be a National Champion in two sports, lacrosse & hockey. A great athlete, a great man. In 2018, he facilitated Coach Moran's attendance at the World Lacrosse Games in Israel by personally escorting him there. I spoke with him last week and all seemed well. Quite a shock. Rest in peace Bob. https://www.usalaxmagazine.com/usa-insi ... dies-at-73

Sorry for the loss of your friend.

He's provided color for quite a few games over the years, as I'm sure you know. Did a great job of it.

One of my partners was a good friend of Bob Rule's through a Renzie Lamb connection. He forwarded this link to me and I thought it worth sharing:

Very revealing and educational article,

Mr. Rule must have been a one-of-a-kind teacher.

I must have watched him play several times, but I only met him once. From this brief encounter, I came away thinking him a one-of-a-kind person.

RIP, Bob. :(

Pat Walsh played for Wantagh. I'm curious why his name was mentioned on the Cornell thread. :?
