NYT article on Cornell fraternity not flattering, but hardly surprising. I’m not castle aspersions on Cornell. It’s fraternities overall that have are the issue.

Yes, very sad news. He was also the back up goalie on a championship hockey team. Now both lacrosse goalies (both AAs) from the 1971 championship lacrosse team have passed too soon-- Bob Rule and Bob Buhmann.

Bob was a dear friend. He is the only member of the Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame to be a National Champion in two sports, lacrosse & hockey. A great athlete, a great man. In 2018, he facilitated Coach Moran's attendance at the World Lacrosse Games in Israel by personally escorting him there. I spoke with him last week and all seemed well. Quite a shock. I must have watched him play several times, but I only met him once. From this brief encounter, I came away thinking him a one-of-a-kind person.

Notre Dame did pretty well with Pat Walsh from Wantagh a number of years ago. I think they have been a pretty solid mid level program for awhile, but also do not follow very closely.

Pat Walsh played for Wantagh. I'm curious why his name was mentioned on the Cornell thread.
