Agreed. I just kind of wondered if this embarrassing finish will push the administration to make a change. No reason they can’t be a top 5 team every year. Every resource imaginable there. The men’s success is a great example of that.

My guess -- and it is a rank guess -- is that the alumni on the Men's side influenced the decision to make the change from Dom to Lars. Men's lacrosse is a signature sport at UVA and has been for decades. So an alumni base of serious donors likely helped the administration decide that a new coach, new discipline and new message was necessary. Myers doesn't appear, in contrast maybe, to have pressure from that front. She "makes the NCAA tournament every year, you know."
