ohmi is the 2022 FanLax Fantasy Lacrosse Champion. This was ohmi's 2nd Championship Final and 1st Championship win.
Apologies for the tardiness of this post, but I've been out of pocket.

If I knew how to include an image or a clip, I would, but I don't, so...

Congratulations, ohmi, on a well-earned title! (picture last year's champ handing over the cup to this year's champ)

Harvard wuth Byrne seems to be in for a good ride.

After that i hadn’t thought about it but St Joe’s or Brown or DE look well positioned. I am sure i am missing an obvious one or two

Stating the obvious but... We want to add teams that are perennial powers (not just towards the top here and there) and teams that play our current Fantasy NCAA teams. So I have a tool that measures this. Currently the top 40 teams, year-in, year-out, post-2021 are (below). After the 2022 NCAA season ends, I'll mix in the 2022 rankings and... Let's see where the chips land. According to the past many years, we should be adding Albany, Villanova, and Brown. But, again, let's see what the teams look like post-2022. UMBC, Fairfield, and Hofstra should be replaced but... There are no obvious replacements like we had when we added Denver (and I don't remember what the 2nd team was, Yale?). Currently Albany and Villanova are #46 and #15. Villanova makes a strong case for being added. Brown is #11. Harvard is currently #6 but, in the previous 10 years, oldest to most recent, they've been: 18, 38, 27, 16, 21, 24, 35, 30, 37, 27.

Hofstra, UMBC, and Fairfield are currently, in 2022, #44, #47, and #48. Considering we have 24 NCAA teams, these are very low rankings for an NCAA team in our league. We're seemingly ripe for some NCAA replacements. I could see Villanova and Harvard for UMBC and Fairfield but... Let's see how the season plays out.

My sense, and this is all uninformed, is that Harvard will maintain this competitiveness for a long time, because Byrne will be there for awhile, he will recruit well and the team will be well-coached.

Delaware seems less likely to maintain this level, even though they won their 1st round game and Harvard lost, because I don't think this is a lifetime job for Deluca and I think they have some special canadians on the team and it's less likely they'll be able to maintain that recruiting.

Villanova has been pretty good, without much tournament success, for awhile, so they seem like a safe bet.

Brown is interesting. I don't know much about their recruiting. Mike Daly seems like he will continue to have them competitive for a awhile, but I could see him leaving that job, like Starsia and Tiffany.

Albany was good when they had Fields and the Thompsons and Thomson and Resetarits before them. I don't see them reaching those heights ever again.

I have two UMBC players on my fantasy team, but I'd be okay losing them and getting compensatory picks. I don't have much interest in Hofstra or Fairfield, so I'd be okay swapping them out.

Matt, if we swap out teams, would you rather just do one at a time or all 3 at once?

Agreed with what you're saying, especially about Albany, and... I think all 2 or 3 at one time.

Cool.

Regarding the teams we're potentially swapping out:

Hofstra had an all time great player in Ryan Tierney and didn't really make much of an impact. Seth Tierney has been there awhile. I don't see them making any kind of sustainable leap.

UMBC is interesting to me, but is Moran going to be there for a long time?

Fairfield is a total blind spot for me. I've never drafted anyone from Fairfield for my team.

I like this idea. Also good timing as each had several undrafted players with points, which should mean these teams are under-represented on current fantasy rosters, limiting the potential impact on fantasy teams.

I agree with the 3 teams that need replacing,
Brown, nova and Harvard seem the best candidates for replacing them as said by many.

I think Albany and Lehigh will be less strong in the next 5/6 than those 3 teams

Lehigh is interesting. They have some very talented players on their team now, like Sisselberger, Schelling and Kirst. They made the tournament last year. They seem to be consistently good.

I would submit if we drop teams and add others, which makes perfect sense, grandfather the current players on rosters until they graduate.

Nope. Then I have to garner scores from more NCAA teams and... I don't want to garner scores for more NCAA teams...
