Duke comes to Chapel Hill; loses by 5? Nice matchup, but I don't think Duke has the defense to stay in this game.

Mildly interested to see UNC’s plan for the draw.

Also interested to see how Duke comes out after beating BC - if they come out flat or if they can keep the momentum going. UNC has had a looong time to look at the BC/Duke game film and put the game plan into practice.

Sometimes with rivalries, the records get thrown out the window. In this case, I think UNC wins by 4+ unless they shoot 0.300 or Moreno has a horrendous day.

Perhaps. Probably. What the heck knows. Dukes defense could be just fine IF UNC can not get the ball off the draw. That is a very big IF. Both teams are near the top of the board in DC percentage. UNC uses the players on the circle heavily while Duke overwhelmingly leans on Jenner (201 DC's with next highest having only 20). BC and UNC have similar statistics regarding the spread of DC among several players on the circle. I bring up BC because Duke just had a 6 DC advantage there. It is hard to compare week to week and game to game but that is the data point we have. If UNC wants to really put the stress on the Duke D they need to make the draw a scrum and limit Jenner self drawing. If Jenner can self draw and Duke gets the ball I think they can score score. I cold also be completely wrong.....that is why they play the game.

I hope it is a competitive fun game to watch.

Ha...I was typing as you posted this. I too am interested in seeing what UNC does with the draw.

UNC is ELITE. When they're on their game no one is touching them. they are making Duke look like a JV team that forgot how to play offense

Is that what the announcer said? That was not an impossible angle for Ortega (obviously as she made the goal) and there are lots of great attackers that can make that shot. The impressive thing was Ortega's awareness that the goalie and defender were neither ready or expecting her to take that shot.

If the Heels win the national championship this year then come tell us how ELITE they are. They always have stellar regular seasons and ACC tournaments. It's in the NCAA's where they frequently need the Heimlich maneuver.

A quick reminder that it was only like 3 weeks ago that Liberty held Duke to 8 goals.

We shall see, but I'm really thinking only, Cuse, NW and possibly BC have a chance to do it. I have to see how MD fares against NW this weekend to include them in that group.
