Quality of live video has been top-notch for the Mustang Classic, with very good commentators.

Here we go D3 Turtle heads..

LYN over Denison - LYN has had time to fix the mistakes Salisbury exposed and are hungry. They have been mainstay for every Mustang classic and that experience will help.

Amherst over Bates - Amherst surprised me how competitive they were vs. Tufts. Bates is 0-4 … This one will be a walk

CNU over Gettysburg- CNU may be looking past The bullets to LYN. I hope Gettysburg gives them a scare and they leave weary but CNU should prevail

York over F&M - Can’t tell how F&M will show but their games leading up seems to indicate they are not as tough.. Like LYN, York they had a loss to Salisbury and can learn from it (RIT too).

Stevie over Dickinson- home field this one may be close but will give the nod to home field advantage. They looked pretty good vs. Denison and always have some swagger.

Saturday:
LYN over CNU - reasoning is LYN is deeper and on day 2 that will show in 2nd half. They’ve had this one circled since elite 8 loss last year so expect a physical game with with 6-8 penalties. CNU hasn’t really been tested other than early RMC game…

Amherst over Gettysburg- based solely on that Tufts game.. assuming that was not a flash of lightning the drive home will be a fun one..

York over Bates - Bates goes home 0-6.

Dickinson over Denison - goal keeper will win this one for Dickinson..

Stevie over F&M - based only on F&M weaker schedule leading up..

LYN over Deninson - Will be a close game and wouldn’t be surprised if Deninson pulls it out.

Amherst over Bates - After watching the Amherst Tufts game I believe that Amherst will be a top team by the end of the season. Bates will most likely remain winless after this weekend.

CNU over Gettysburg - This will be a close game and will come down to the face off x both teams are very good and can see it being a 15-12 game.

York over F&M - York is a very good team that I don’t see dropping another game until the tournament.

Dickinson over Stevenson - I don’t think Stevenson is legit this year and Dickinson has the best goalie in D3. Could be wrong on this but I don’t think Stevenson should be top 20.

CNU over Lynchburg - Both teams won’t be fresh and I believe it will be a very back and forth and sloppy game. Think CNU’s offense will take advantage of the inexperienced Lynchburg D. Also expecting a battle at the faceoff X and look forward to hopefully seeing Kyle Lewis and Max Wayne battle it out.

Amherst over Gettysburg - Don’t know about depth on either team but believe Amherst will pull it out in a decisive victory maybe 18-10

York over Bates - Again York is very good, Bates doesn’t look so good. Blowout

Denison over Dickinson - Just have a feeling on this one.

Stevenson over F&M - Don’t know much about F&M this year but it seems like they are pretty weak. Maybe a F&M and Bates game would’ve been better so we could get an early York and Stevenson game. Guess we’ll have to wait for conference play

York’s schedule has been tough enough so far. Time to fine tune, chalk up the wins, and build confidence toward the end of the season.

Lots of sleeping on the Centennial in this thread so far! May well be justified, but I think this is going to be one of the years they solidify the number two spot and are nipping at the heels of the 'CAC. I'm calling 5-1 on the weekend, with the Bullets taking the pick' em and pulling the feature upset (though I think the Dips have a shot at York as well).

Just curious as to who do you think has the toughest 2 games this weekend based on polls and the eye test. I have to say this exercise really hurt my head, I would make a decision then decide that my logic often was conflicted. Anyway here is my top five. The Bates games were tough to figure out and maybe they have the toughest weekend.

That's a good question and does take some mind twisting effort - more than I initially thought it would at least. In the end I just asked myself who's slate would I least want ... but still not sure that helped. Haha

I guess I'm basically saying Amherst is better than the pundits are giving them credit for being.

This exercise just underscores how great this weekend is. Hands down, other than Memorial Day weekend the best weekend in the D3 season IMHO.
