georgetown at 3 seems a bit ambitious.

Just one man's opinion. Not sure how many spots I'd move each team up or down, but this is about how I see last year's top 20 teams performing in 2022 relative to the final media poll of 2021. Based mostly on who each team loses/gains to graduation and transfers with a little bit of consideration toward incoming freshmen classes.

The next handful just outside the top 10 in no particular order - Lehigh, Denver, Navy, Syracuse, Drexel....

I think with a couple guys getting healthy, Loyola is gonna be really tough

The ACC will be loaded as always...

I think Rutgers has a very good core of talent returning...but they will need the new portal pieces to work to stick here IMO

Georgetown will be good...but want to see them get some higher profile wins early in the year OOC

Will Hopkins build off their late season push...I would guess yes

Army is gonna be good...very tough team always...watch out for them...

If GTown is 12 then where is Cuse? 30?

I would not rank the Hoyas #3 but still believe they're firmly in the top 10. A quarterfinalist that loses Carraway yes but they're bringing in several impact transfers including an alpha defender in Bowen to pair next to Gibson Smith. They're set at goalie and FOGO and have a promising do-it-all middie in Dylan Hess for another three years. I think a couple other 2021 quarterfinalists will take bigger steps back in 2022 than they will.

Well, the set of 10-12 does include 10 as well as 12. Cuse? 15? A quarterfinal who no one outside of a homer who watched a lot of lacrosse actually thought was one of the top 8 teams. Bowen is great, a better player than Carraway perhaps. I’m not trying to project tournament results but rather actual abilities, who beats who. If you think G’Town would be favored head to head on a neutral field vs all but 5 teams? Well, we disagree and the Vegas odds, such as they are for lacrosse, would disagree with you too.
