Loyola unveiled their recently renovated locker room and it looks NICE.

Interesting little tidbit- they didn’t have a locker room for the entire 2021 season while this was being renovated

Mac O'Keefe has discussed how much he watched Eric Lusby. All roads lead back to the Greyhounds.GreyingHound wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 6:22 pmDefinitely a sniper. I haven't seen that many sidearm/underhand shots since Tim O'Shea wore the Green and Grey. Looks like he's been watching lots of Mac O'Keefe.

Hounds picked up two 23 commits in a span of about 7 hours today
1. Ben Abel, goalie from Texas. Big shot stopping ability like stover, he’s actually coached by stover for club ball I believe.
2. Trent Turner, midfielder from Los Angeles california. Attended loyola high school. Hes threat in transition.
By my count, that’s 5 commits. All from areas outside the typical northeast hotbed. california, florida, texas, north carolina, georgia.

While it goes against old school lacrosse thinking from people that reside in the traditional hot bed areas, there is a ton of talent everywhere now...we need look no further than our current roster for some pretty solid examples...James, Kamish, Wyers, Rezanka to name a few...houndace1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 7:50 pm Hounds picked up two 23 commits in a span of about 7 hours today

You see more and more club teams (and parents) committing time and money to travel in the summer and fall to get to events here in the east...you can see it when you go spend a day at a summer event...teams are coming from all over...and they're competing...now the top few rated club teams still reside in the hot bed areas...but more and more clubs from around the country are getting better coaching, better athletes, and it shows up when you see where recruits are coming from
It will be interesting to see how it continues to evolve...the growth of the game and players going back home and giving back as coaches helps...that's been going on for years in hot bed states, but now you'll see kids from around the country come play here out east and then go home, get a job, but in their spare time, coach high school, or coach club, or do side training...and that drives kids to get better...
I love the Loyola staff...and one thing I've always trusted was their ability to spot and develop talent...I don't put too much stock if any in recruiting rankings...they're skewed...I'd say generally the top 20-25 are pretty locked in...after that I'd argue you could have a kid ranked 40th and a kid ranked 160th and it's a coin flip on who might have a better college career...too many variables that can't be captured watching a few summer games IMO

Nice new digs. Staff does a really nice job, interested to see what the schedule looks like.
Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2022
I'm hearing that Maryland replaces UVA and that there is a scrimmage against Syracuse in the Dome. Other than that, schedule will be about the same as pre-COVID, and includes Duke and Georgetown....Can't wait!

Yes to all of that...and a highly pre-ranked Rutgers will make a return trip to Ridley. The 2020 tilt was a very good game with then young Joey Kamish getting the game winner late for the Hounds...Rutgers, Hop, Maryland, Duke, Gtown, Towson...talk about a great OOC schedule...I gotta think coach Toomey likes the team he has coming back...
