Like most cats, Twiggy likes to wind down with a good cat, bird or squirrel video.

Ten Lives Club is a local cat shelter where I occasionally donate goods and spend time in their Shy Cat Room helping with socialization. It’s a remarkable organization. Below are some comments from the director.

TEN LIVES CLUB TAKES IN 3,200 CATS IN 2022!

As Director of Operations, I am very excited to announce that Ten Lives Club took in over 3,200 cats in 2022 of this number 2,088 of them being strays and unwanted cats; 115 being born in our care; over 100 being personal house cats; and over 700 coming from kill shelters that are all safe now thanks to TLC.

I’m even more excited to tell you that we adopted out 3,195 cats that went to their new forever homes. These numbers did not come without some hardships along the way, but we truly weathered the storms (blizzard 2022). This is all thanks to the great staff, volunteers, and you for your support that helped us to help so many.

Our medical staff spayed and neutered 2,620 cats in total including TLC cats and community cats with 181 other surgical procedures (dentals, eye removals, and limb amputations) being done in our medical area, an exciting achievement all on its own.

We added three more adoption locations in 2022 in Hamburg, Blasdell and Dunkirk.

I’m very proud to say our average donation to TLC is $49 which is above the national average. For every dollar you donate, 85 cents goes directly to cat care. Ninety-six percent of our budget comes from donations and special events. We receive no operational support from the city, county, or state.

As the Director of Operations, I get to see firsthand what it is that we do, and I get to feel the excitement when someone finds their perfect new best friend. I also see the eyes of so many stray cats and kittens when they first arrive at our door, scared and unsure of what is happening. But I know they are in a better and safer place now.

I would like to leave you with some photos from 2022 so you can see the excitement and need from these pictures. Please donate today to help us do even more in 2023.

If you have any questions on what we did in 2022 or want more information about TLC, please feel free to contact me at 716-646-5577 ext. 6 anytime.

Good Stuff ardilla secreta!

A few years back a young momma kitty had her litter in our front yard. We caught her and all five of her kittens - got them spayed/neutered and found homes for them. Even the momma (who was very feral) found a new home as a barn cat for the parents of one of our friends.

Mouser flavors - turkey, duck, rabbit, and chicken.

Kitty might miss the mouse head though...
