Whipple has been running his team in the FL heat. I don't think they will run out of gas. If Dickerson dominates at FO, Tampa will control the game and it will come down to how well LR defense plays against Tampa's high powered offense. Lynn gave Tampa scares in both games where the FO bested Dickerson and their defense kept the score low. Might be a good defensive battle.Pitt12 wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 1:16 amTampa looking tough to beat. Tampa by a few goals.LunchBox wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 9:39 pm The LR - Tampa being billed as a heavyweight match. Tampa holds a 4 - 1 edge historical wins. LR will win to narrow the history. I look for LR to shake off some rust in the first quarter and keep it close. Overall team speed of LR runs Tampa out of gas and a tight win in regulation. Go Bears!

You have already told us what is going to happen
Not even going to watch this Division II beatdown that's going to happen in hickory
Re: Division II Odds to Win the Championship
Gonna be a high paced, high scoring game. That’s all I know. No clue who’s winning.

Well that was exciting, LR over Tampa 16-15.CHEEKS wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 12:35 pmWhere’s the le Moyne slander? Again like I said put Tampa in these other conferences and it’s the same result. Shoot maybe even a few more 20 pieces if they can get out of the heatWhiteCarrera wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 12:15 pmAgree completely. I'm not sure how anyone can claim Tampa is "underrated" when they were literally rated #1 without having played a game (while others were 4-0 or 5-0). To me, this is the opposite of underrated. I'm curious Cheeks, what would be appropriate? Is there a Super Duper #1AAA rating that we don't know about?

Re: Division II Odds to Win the Championship
yep!
As I said before the whole D1 transfer thing....
Don't mean much given there are plenty of D1 level players at D2 and D3.
Bryce Reece, #15 of Lenoir Rhine is one of them!
He basically took over the 3rd Qtr and gave his team the jolt it needed to climb back into a game that could have been a blow out loss...
CONGRATULATIONS a to the entire Bears team for one heck of a game....

Re: Division II Odds to Win the Championship
I don’t know...Covid hurt there ability to play enough and get a better seed, but all teams had to deal with Covid issues. Also they could of put 40 up on Mt Olive right? So did that really tire them out? Tampa has an excuse every year. Gotta give Lemoyne the edge right now. Defense wins championships.Cricket410 wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 4:10 pm Played two games in three days. If they got the respect they deserved and earned and got granted a real seed, prob a different story here. But LR earned it and they deserved today as well, one hell of a game. Prob shoulda been the natty. We’ll see what happens from here on out. Instant classic.

Re: Division II Odds to Win the Championship
Cricket, Cheeks, Tumbleweed will you ever stop making excuses for why Tampa, the best lacrosse team in the country from the best conference in the country, loses?
Tampa’s the best BUT:
They don’t get respect and got a bad seed,
They had to play two games in three days,
Playing a conference-only schedule didn’t prepare them for the playoffs, even though they’re in the best, most competitive conference in America,
Only beating Lynn by one or two goals must mean that Lynn is the second best team in the country, and they should also be in the playoffs,
You all are prejudiced against Tampa.
Maybe your starting assumption (Tampa is the best) just wasn’t correct.

It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.
