REALLY interesting game today

At least I think it is - Dartmouth vs. Tufts. D1 vs D3, Ivy powerhouse vs. NESCAC powerhouse. I'm not sure this type of game has happened before? It looks to be Dartmouth's 1st & only game this year while the NESCAC is playing a shortened season with not all teams participating.
Glad to see it happen - games like this do in fact grow the game.

I'd put $ on Dartmouth, but I agree, great for the game.
Dartmouth should win, but Tufts is really good. I have no idea what Dartmouth's roster looks like - kids may be sitting out this year like Penn. But if they are near full roster, they should win this game. It would be great if there are annual Ivy vs. NESCAC games
maybe wlax historian NJbill can weigh in on whether this is a historic 1st time meeting between the two leagues

Nope; I am pretty sure we are in the clear on snow. Looks like the 50s today, with the possibility of a light rain.

Danielle Spencer was stockpiling talent at Dartmouth. It will be interesting to see how some of these players look today.
The talent gap between top IVY league teams and NESCAC is pretty large. Much more speed in the IVYs and upper D1.

The younger Gilbert was committed to Dartmouth. She rerouted to Spencer's new gig.

Not sure I would say that, there is a lot of pride here in a D1 vs D3 game. Alot of these kids know each other as well.

Oh sure--no doubt that's true. But as far as the standings and the Ivy League and this sad season of being barred from playing, it means nothing. Kind of sad.

Yes, agree with that.
Tufts has nothing to lose by playing this game, they aren't supposed to win....nothing but upside.
Dartmouth has no upside, they are supposed to win...but if they lose, its a big deal.

It is patently untrue that Danielle Spencer was ‘stockpiling’ talent at Dartmouth. Please name a name(s) The 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes were all Patton. The only underclass contributors in the 2019 and 2020 seasons were also recruited by Patton. Spencer was a bad match for Dartmouth and it was better for everyone that she moved on. Wish her well I her future endeavors.
