I would not be surprised if Scanlan isn’t drafted by the NLL.

Agree...but if he does get drafted and still wants to pursue his college degree (and playing in college), he could do so up in Canada where NCAA rules don't apply (CUFLA)...at least that's an option I would consider if I were in his shoes http://cufla.ca/

I always heard there were issues with criminal convictions when entering Canada. Reading some of this, it seems to indicate even persons with arrests, prior to convictions, are subject to rejection at the border.

“…. The onus is always on the traveler to be able to justify their admission into the country, so it is possible to be refused entrance even if a person was found not guilty of a crime. If the Canadian border sees an arrest on a visitor's record, they may be denied admittance into the country unless they have documents proving that the result was "no conviction" .…”

So he can’t go back to NCAA? Like say, Utah?

Wondering if there’s any last second action McMinn can pull off here with school Effectively starting. Buckshot, Teddy Dolan, Brett Dobson, Rizzoti and Colin and you’d have a effective ball handler and most of the back half of the field covered regardless of what’s there now. Add Nanticoke and that team wins their AQ Id bet.

Pretty sure Dolan and Rizzotti are going back to Binghamton and Dartmouth, respectively. Dobson is in the portal for 2023.

Ahh was just looking at the best of what’s left generally on the list. Dolan could transfer for spring semester. Doubt Rizzoti would do it.

Has to be interesting to some kids when looking at Utah’s body of work and the new platform.

How can we find out the pay?

Donville and Khan are both All-American candidates. That is easily the best transfer class on its own.

Dukes is also extremely talented. Lulley is a 1st or 2nd team all-American level talent.

I don’t understand outside of volume how Rutgers is considered better than those two.

Maybe Rutgers met their needs as the article suggests. If the transfers do not mesh with the current personnel of the destination teams, it doesn't matter. As well, with regards to Rutgers, most of their transfers are NOT grad transfers and have 2 years to play, not one.

2 years of average guys could be worse. They are older and close to fully developed. If they aren’t impact right away now you have to deal with average transfers eating up space and $ for two years. It isn’t necessarily a positive.

Ummm … you do realize that the University of Utah is in Utah, do you not? Think they have a strict student code of conduct.

Thanks for the update.

Just a suggestion … wouldn’t it be more efficient to simply default all transfers to Rutgers and then change each entry when they confirm they are not going to Rutgers?

Again, just a suggestion ….

Thanks for the update.

Just a suggestion … wouldn’t it be more efficient to simply default all transfers to Rutgers and then change each entry when they confirm they are not going to Rutgers?

Again, just a suggestion ….

DocBarrister ;)
Alternatively, the NCAA could arrange things so that every lacrosse player who enters the portal is automatically transferred and enrolled at Rutgers and instantly placed on the roster of the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team. If the lacrosse player subsequently transfers somewhere else (we could have Duke or Maryland serve as the automatic secondary default setting), then and only then would the player be removed from the Rutgers men’s lacrosse roster.

I think that could actually work. Would welcome comments ….

Ummm … you do realize that the University of Utah is in Utah, do you not? Think they have a strict student code of conduct.

What does trying to walk on mean? Don’t expect Sopko to replace Haley or Bundy but the kid had 91,27,118 in 44 games for Bucknell and wasn’t a TO machine. Would have to think he’d be good enough to get soem second line midfield run at GT
