Sort of like, “is Batman a transvestite?”

Who knows?

I think I would put Penn a little higher than 21, maybe in the 11-15 range.
Sam Handley, Sean Lully, Dylan Gergar, and Adam Goldner gives them a strong offensive group, which few teams outside the top 10 can match.

This year, more than others, these way-early ranking are ridiculous. US News just ranked Yale U #5, so let's see if US Lax follows suit and (out of partial deference to the 2018 and 2019 Eli teams) ranks Yale #5.

Princeton, who has about or more than half of their guys not playing in 2021 and also lost a lot of ballers, is a spot ahead of Penn, who will have most of their players plus Sam Handley (for now). Amazing.

My guess is that was written before the news popped. I believe many of the Yale players are taking a gap year also. I have not seen it confirmed but that is what I heard from a generally reliable source. Penn is all in on the 2020-21 season.

Hmmm, well there was a newspaper article a month or so ago to the effect that Patrick Hackler would be taking this semester off, then deciding whether to take the spring semester off based on if there would be a lacrosse season. Would others be doing the same? Yale has not yet posted a roster, which seems wise given the uncertainty.

Yes. I read that article also.

So Hopkins slips in at #15.
Is that realistic or based more on reputation?
Hopkins will have Epstein back and healthy. They bring in 2 nice transfers; Kirson should improve things in goal. Hopkins does have a few top freshmen showing up, but where will they be at on the learning curve.
On the other hand, they were 2-4, last spring.
Of course, a new coach.

Maybe the infusion of talent justifies 15, but I think I would go with the 20-25 range.

They weren't even close to 25 when the season ended last year with the blowout 10-6 win over 1 win Towson and that nail biter give away by MSM.

Well it's a good thing they're not ranking the 2020 season then.

Also, they beat Towson 15-7, not 10-6.

Where is Hobart on this list?

I knew the baby comment would come out. Supposed to beef up not down. I’d love to have had a shot at Hop last year or this upcoming year, no question.

Of course I was responding to someone else’s post on this miss thin skin.

Hop fans, whining about Duke and stalking Syracuse message boards and then acting like they are better than everyone else. Some things never change.

If Hop is so bad then how it is "beefing down"? If Hobart is truly better then wouldn't I be "beefing up"?

Don't think Hop is better than everyone else. If you read the Hop board, which I know that you do, you'd already know I think the ranking is fair and could even argue it should be lower. People like you keep projecting a certain attitude onto the entire Hopkins lacrosse community when in fact, at least on this forum, it's really only represented by a select few. You get more rational and level-headed discussion of the sport on that forum than you get absolutely anywhere else.

I don’t see 12 teams ahead of the Hoyas,
I just don’t see it,

they closed out this season very strong,
maybe I’m missing something,
a senior that didn’t return.

Good question? I 'll take our chances v Hop this season if Coach Millman wants to take us on.

A 4 star 22' mid just committed to Hoyas. Good team.

Simply conjecture at this point but not much of stretch of imagination to believe home team Rutgers would have beat Hop last year .See them in April.

Also not a stretch to think Hobart's offense might have put up twenty or more on Hop if they had played.
