As expected, only 3 5th years. Carraway, Bean, and Petkevich. Very nice balance in the classes number-wise. This could be a really great team and I think the coaching staff did the right thing by not bringing in a ton of 5th year guys.

Four-star George Acton '22, LSM, St. Mary's (Md.) / @annapolishawks has committed to @HoyasMLacrosse. Continuing the Saints to G'town pipeline, Acton is an aggressive lefty who is excellent off the ground.

Brendan Voelker isn't on the inside lacrosse freshman commits but is on the roster. His father is head coach at Drexel. Nice surprise.

13 in the way too early ranking. I think we aren't getting enough respect. I like it that way.

Big East is going to be a dogfight between GTown and Denver with Nova and Prov (Marquette?) sniffing around.

No, on point two, seems clear to me,
but yes, why not play a bit in the shadows,

any key seniors not returning, I didn’t see anyone
of note ?

It looks like the Hoya’s resurgence under Warne continues in this class. Not quite up there with the top tier but GU is definitely trending in the right direction.
Great to see.

5 star mid:
From IL's Five-Star 2022's: "Breaking out as a middie that top DI programs are dying to have, Wray steadily improved as the summer progressed. He's a converted attackman who is a slasher with the rock, getting quality shots off effortlessly and creating offense in a number of ways."

Hoyas pick up midfielder Patrick Crogan (Lexington/Laxachusetts), the number 59 player in the class of 2022 according to National Lacrosse Federation. Really made a leap this summer and makes a number plays in a number of ways. I think he has the athleticism and tenacity to be a nice college dmid as his floor, but I could also see him having a pretty high ceiling on offense as he develops throughout his college career. Good get for Georgetown.

The 2022s are shaping up to be a great class. Interesting to compare them with the outgoing class on the cusp of breaking out:

Great transfer news for the '22 season

https://twitter.com/tyxanders/status/13 ... 58499?s=19

North Carolina defenseman Will Bowen has informed his teammates and future coaches that he intends to attend Georgetown for graduate school and join the Hoyas for the 2022 and ’23 seasons.

The No. 2-ranked player in the Class of 2018, Bowen is in a unique situation. He is on track to graduate from Chapel Hill in three academic years this spring, and he'll have three years of eligibility remaining (though he'll likely only use two as he's entering a two-year program).
