HS GIRLS: 2020 Under Armour All-Americans

Lots of teams seemingly did well including Stanford.

My quick totals:

UVA, UNC 5
Stanford, Penn State 4
Florida, BC, ND, MD 3
Syr, Harvard 2
NU, Mich, SB, Va Tech, Yale, JHU, Duke, Princeton, Loyola, Ohio State 1

Pretty good list. I’ve seen about 1/3 of these girls play (some more than others). Most seem deserving. (There is one head scratcher.) Off the top of my head, I can only think of one player who perhaps should be on the list, but wasn’t included.

Obviously, this list was put together based on accomplishments before this year which leaves a bit of a hole in the evaluation process. But we have to play the cards we are dealt this year.

When I heard the senior game had been canceled, I thought that perhaps they wouldn’t put out a list this year. Glad to see they did.

Not a big fan of the under armour game/picks because there is a fair amount of politics involved - having said that, looks like PSU has got themselves quite a class of midfielders

Agreed. . Definitely some headscratchers, Have seen many of the girls play and are deserving but several who are relatively unknowns with obvious political/coaching influence. With this abbreviated season and selections based upon previous seasons, would you assume all selections would have been previous All Americans??

So many head scratchers. Who is this Wurzburger kid? Never heard of her.
