Is this conference still a thing?
Colorado College the defacto winner?
Southwestern still trying to grow?

Seems that the NCAA doesn't recognize the SCAC as a conference. Note in the following from the NCAA LAX website:
http://www.ncaa.org/championships/divis ... s-lacrosse

In this doc,
https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/champi ... andout.pdf

the Athletic East Conference is listed as a conference, but has no AQ for 2020. So, all teams are in Pool B
However, all of the SCAC teams are listed as Independents (rather than in a conference), and are also therefore in Pool B.

I guess that means Colorado College is an independent playing for an at-large bid?

That's how it looks to me.

The SCAC is a recognized conference. In saying that, it is really moot point because the teams are not required to play each other during the season. Colorado and Southwestern are the only teams that can compete on a national level, with Southwestern still playing a bit of catch up to CC. Until the conference adds more teams and an AQ is established, the SCAC really doesn't matter.

At large bid is the only chance at the Tourney.

Do any of the other SCAC member schools have a club lacrosse team or desire to add the sport at all?
